 The School Store has a big stock of hooded sweatshirts, and today is the last day we will be selling them for just twenty dollars.  The School Store is open in the cafeteria from 11:45-12:45 each day.

Celebrate the New Year in Roaring Twenties style with an evening of murder, mystery, and mayhem at the Tompkins County Public Library on Monday, December 29th at 5:30. Murder, Molls and Mobsters: a caper at Ella’s Jazz Club is free and open to anyone in grades 6-12. Register via e-mail be contacting rdemauro@tcpl.org or stopping by the library Youth Services desk.

Hey IHS...think you know what choir concerts are all about? Well, perhaps you've never seen an IHS Choir Concert. Come see the Concert Choir, Men's Choir, Women's Choir and A cappella club in their Winter Concert this Monday, December 22 at 7:30pm in Kulp Auditorium. You'll hear music from all styles including jazz, gospel, pop, classical, and multicultural...word has it there may even be an on-stage poker game that gets out of hand...don't miss it, tonight at 7:30!

The concert will feature the whole band and small instrumental groups and will be followed by a dessert reception in the Kulp Auditorium Lounge. We hope to see you there!

Juniors and Seniors:  Remember reading The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass with the description of the plantation in chapter 2?   If you have any recollection of it, you are invited to vote for the most accurate and the most attractive drawing of the plantation described in that chapter.  Go to K building and ask for a ballot between classes from K-102.  Be sure to check out both bulletin boards.  Last day to vote is tomorrow.

     How are images taken of Saturn, millions of miles away?  What can we learn from them about our solar system and our universe?  Come see these stunning images and learn about the technology involved from Rick Kline from Cornell.  Join in the conversation this Thursday, 5:30-6:30pm in H Courtyard.

The sophomore class will be holding a bake sale today after school.  It will be held outside between Activities and the entrance doors to Bliss Gym and there will be lots of good things to eat for fifty cents or less!

 

Come to the Code Red Robotics LAN party this Friday and have a blast playing a variety of different games. Compete with a friend in our Black Ops II tournament or compete individually in our Super Smash Bros Melee tournament to win the grand prize of a $50 gift card to the mall. The event will be held in the IHS cafeteria from 5:30 to 9pm this Friday. Admission is $5, with an extra $5 dollars to enter one of the tournaments.  The Brain Team is hosting their fourth annual fall trivia night from 6 to 8:30 tonight in the cafeteria.  Bring a team of up to five people for a fun night of trivia, music, and prizes.  Tickets are $10 per person and include dinner!  See your local Brain Team member or Mr. Kirk in room G102 for tickets and details, or just show up at the cafeteria tonight.  For pizza!  For glory!  For trivia!!!!

Hey ladies of IHS, do you wanna play some football? SWIS Club will be hosting a Powderpuff Football game on Friday the 21st from 7-9 p.m. All are welcome to play and no experience is necessary. Two short after-school practices will be held on November 18th and 20th to explain the basics. And boys, don’t forget to sign-up to cheer on your friends as cheerleaders! Everyone can sign-up outside the main office!
