Do you feel a hunger?  A hunger for knowledge?  A hunger for power?  A hunger for a better world?  Will all-you-can-eat burritos help?  Come to Moe's tonight from 7 – 10 p.m. for a $10 all-you-can eat fundraiser for the IHS Brain Team.  That's right!  Only $10 gets you all the burritos, nachos, tacos, and quesadillas you can eat!  Bring a copy or a cell-phone picture of our flyers found in the halls, cafeteria, and H-courtyard to Moe’s tonight, to support the Brain Team.  It's food for your Brain!

Find a partner, pick a team name, and sign up for $5 per person at the badminton bake sale during lunch periods today. There will be food and drinks for sale. Don’t miss out on this crazy event!

Attention all interested juniors! The first meeting for the junior prom committee will take place today at 3:40, in Mr. Miller’s room, G-107. All interested juniors are welcome.
 
There will be a National College Fair at Onondaga Community College on Tuesday, March 18. Many college representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on their colleges. Please come to the College & Career Office to sign up. This is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be on a college admissions committee? Join the school counselors today during periods 3-6 in the Library LAB1 for a fun college admissions activity. Remember to bring your lunch – and space is limited.

Have you taken Biology? Are you interested in the natural world, ecotourism, and biological diversity? Want to go to Costa Rica next February break? Stop by H-107 to pick up an application. The application is due Monday, March 10th, and there will be a meeting for interested students in H-107 after school on Tuesday, March 4th. See Ms. Zolnik if you have questions.

The Greater Ithaca Activities Center will be having its annual Black History Talent Show tonight, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Kulp Auditorium at Ithaca High School. The community is asked to join us for this free event.
Please come to the library’s bake sale next Wednesday to enjoy good food with good books!

Please come to the College & Career Office to sign up. This is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors.
More new clubs are starting this week! Come learn about music technology and production today after school in the Kulp Music Theory Lab, or learn boxing skills after school in the multipurpose gym. Any student is welcome!

Have you ever been curious about what it’s like to build a robot? Have you ever wondered what goes on in that mysterious E hallway from 5 to 9 every night? Come to the IHS Technology and Engineering Department Open House hosted by Code Red Robotics on Saturday, February 8th from 2:00 to 4:00 and you’ll be able to experience a Code Red build session as well as explore the activities of other technology affiliated groups!

Juniors: Representatives from the “Let’s Get Ready” SAT preparation program will be in the cafeteria today to talk about the SAT Prep program and to hand out applications. Please stop by their table for more information and to sign up.
Seniors: There will be a FAFSA workshop on Monday, February 10 at 6:30 in the library computer labs. Parents, guardians and seniors can receive assistance by Financial Aid Officers from Cornell University and Ithaca College in completing the FAFSA. Please sign up in the College and Career Office.

Students: Lost an earring, watch, glasses, IPOD, cell phone, etc.? Check out the Lost and Found table in the main office.

Who's ready to dance under the dinos? This Saturday, Feb. 8th, from 8-11 PM, the senior class will be hosting the annual winter formal at the Museum of the Earth. This is IHS' only all school dance and admission is open to all students. Tickets can be purchased in the cafeteria this week during all lunch periods. Early bird tickets are $15 today and Tuesday and regular tickets are $20! Free and reduced prices also apply! Hope to see you there!

Interested in hip hop? Hip hop is not just a genre of music, but a culture that is expressed through a variety of art forms, including breaking, graffiti, and freestyle rap. Hip Hop Club will meet today after school in the Dance Studio. All are welcome!
