Hey Juniors! Still want to buy a Class of 2016 t-shirt? Well you’re in luck because the Junior Class will be selling the last few shirts during lunch periods, in the cafeteria, today. Individual t-shirts will be $20 and a bundle of two will be $30.

Attention Seniors! Lanyards, t-shirts, sunglasses and water bottles will be sold this Friday, and every Friday until senior week. Remember that you need to purchase a lanyard to get into senior week events. Buy them soon, because the price raises April 15th.

There will be a handball tournament April 11, from 1-4 p.m. Sign-ups will be during all lunch periods the week after break. Teams must have 5-9 players. The fee to play is $5 per person. Get pumped!

Seniors who are interested in a medical field, the Cayuga Medical Center scholarship application is worth $2,500 and is available in the college and career center.   The deadline is April 17th.

The Carol Jean Buckley Scholarship for the Arts is now available and due April 10th.  The supplemental applications can be found in the college and career center, and is only for seniors.

Attention girl students who may be attending the Junior or Senior Proms.  Would you like a free Prom Dress?  On Saturday, April 18th, from 12 to 4 pm at the Ithaca State Farm Insurance office, 222 #2 Elmira Road, IHS students are welcome to try on and take for free a prom dress of their liking. 

The School Store is having a sale this week to make room for spring and summer apparel.  All this week long-sleeve t-shirts are on sale for eight dollars and hoodies are reduced from twenty-five dollars to just twenty dollars.  The School Store is open each day in the cafeteria from 11:30-12:30.

STUDENTS: The deadline for ordering customized yearbooks is April 6th. Order by April 6th at ybpay.lifetouch.com to be guaranteed a copy of the 100th ANNUAL. 

Do you think you can ball? If yes, bring friends to the NSBE 3 on 3 basketball tournament Saturday, April 18 from 1-5 p.m. Winning team walks away with $75. Sign up is April 8-16 during all lunch periods in the cafeteria. To sign up, it’s $5 per person and a minimum of 3 people per team. Staff are encouraged to play!

Do you like to act? Have you ever wanted to be on TV? Do you like Disney? Then why not try out for Living With White Rice? Come on down to the TV Studio Wednesday after-school and audition for April Carroll’s TV comedy show WISE project. No experience is necessary! Even if you’d just like to be an extra, we want you! If you can’t make it Wednesday but would still like to be in it, you can talk to April Carroll or find Mr. Cass in F-39 and talk to him.

March Madness Mayhem is about to erupt at IHS. Monday, March 16 Link Crew will be in the cafeteria handing out Brackets to see who at IHS can build a perfect bracket... it's only 1 in 9.2 quintillion. So we're saying you've got a shot.

This week is Social Justice Week! Get ready to participate in a week of presentations, discussions, and other fun activities. The Blind Spots are giving a benefit concert on Thursday after school, on Friday we invite you to wear blue, and the rest of the week is packed with important opportunities to show your support and raise awareness of social justice issues.

The National College Fair will be held at Onondaga Community College on March 12 from 9 am to12 and 5 pm to 8 on the OCC campus. Parking is free. Students should register for this event. Go to your Naviance account for more information.

There will be a College Fair at Ithaca College today from 6:30 to 8:30. This is a great opportunity for you to talk to college representatives. The Fair will be held in the Athletics Event Center.

This week is Social Justice Week! Get ready to participate in a week of presentations, discussions, and other fun activities. The Blind Spots are giving a benefit concert on Thursday after school, on Friday we invite you to wear blue, and the rest of the week is packed with important opportunities to show your support and raise awareness of social justice issues.

The National College Fair will be held at Onondaga Community College on March 12 from 9 am to12 and 5 pm to 8 on the OCC campus. Parking is free. Students should register for this event. Go to your Naviance account for more information.

There will be a College Fair at Ithaca College on Wednesday, March 11 from 6:30 to 8:30. This is a great opportunity for you to talk to college representatives. The Fair will be held in the Athletics Event Center.

Hey Juniors, the Class of 2016 will be hosting an open meeting this Tuesday, March 3rd in H-Courtyard to discuss plans for Junior Prom. If you want a hand in deciding the music and food for the prom, we will see you there!

Join us for Cabaret Night, an evening of music and comedy, this Friday March 6 and Saturday, March 7 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5, and will be on sale during lunch periods and at the door. Refreshments included!

Attention students who went on the trip to Costa Rica: Please choose your TOP 10 pictures or videos from our trip, put them on a flash drive, and bring them to Mrs. Denissoff by the end of the day today. We will be making a slideshow and would love to incorporate your photos!

Attention  Seniors: ­ The 2015 I.H.S. Senior award application, CFCU Scholarship Award, Cayuga Medical Award, and the Finger Lakes Running Club scholarship are in the College and Career Center.  Make sure you pick one up.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Noyes in G116.  The Senior Award Application deadline is March 26th.

11th graders who have enrolled in either AP Lit or AP Lang must take and pass the qualifying exam on either Tuesday, March 3 or Thursday, March 5 after school in York. See Mr. Byrne in F-5 with any questions.
