It’s time to Chuck Yo Junk! Bring in your used binders, folders, lined paper, and other school supplies to be used again next year. We are also accepting used review books this year. Please place your donations in the labeled boxes in H-Courtyard, the main office, the library, or the cafeteria! Help IHS stay green!

The freshman class will be selling Class of 2019 t-shirts during lunch periods this week! Come grab yours before they are gone. Shirts will be $12. 

Want to see how there are videos in the yearbook? Stop by the table in the cafeteria to find out! While you're there make sure to pick up your own copy of this year's annual. Check to see if you preordered one or buy one for $75 or $35 for free and reduced lunch! Get yours before they sell out!

There will be a Fall 2016 pre-season informational meeting for the Girls Swimming and Diving team on June 13th starting at 6:30 pm. This meeting is for current team members and those that hope to join the team in the fall.   This meeting will be held in the pool bleachers at the Ithaca College A&E center.   This meeting is for both parents and Swimmers/Divers.  Coach Mike Blakely-Armitage will outline expectations for participation, pass out forms from the Athletic Department needed to participate and talk about his coaching philosophy as well as open the meeting to questions.  

 

Do you have questions about college?  Would you like to know more about choosing a college, adjusting to college, joining clubs, getting along with roommates, managing the workload, or something else?  Come to our college student panel on Tuesday, June 14 at 12 noon in Kulp to hear a panel of IHS alumni who are in college. They will share their experiences, insights, and advice about college.  Pizza and other refreshments will be provided by the IHS PTA starting at 11:45 am and the panel will begin at 12.  Students, parents, caregivers and staff are all welcome to come to this informative program.

Attention Cornell STEP students: This is a reminder that today an earth science, chemistry and English 11 regents review session is available for you after school.

Come to H-Courtyard during lunch to buy any of the following: t-shirts for $2, hoodie for $8, lanyard for $3, and sunglasses and lanyards for $1 each.

Seniors – please complete the graduation survey in Naviance! Also, make sure you have a cap and gown so you can walk across the stage on June 23!

We hope everyone who’s interested will show up and learn about our team.

After school today in H Courtyard, NHS will be hosting a study book swap for any new or lightly used study books. This means if you have any past study books for the APs, SATs, or ACTs that you no longer need, you can drop them off. And if you need a study book for next year, you can pick one up for free! So remember, after school in H Courtyard today, bring your old study books for a book swap!

Join the IHS Concert Band for an evening of music tonight at 7:30 pm in Kulp Auditorium. Come for the music, stay for the Purity ice cream reception that will follow. See you there!

Join us at St Paul's Methodist Church at 7 pm for a night of drinks and desserts, jazz, and stories and performances from community members. Buy tickets at the door or this week in the cafeteria during lunch periods.

Attention Juniors. If you're interested in joining National Honor Society, you can pick up an application in the main office. The deadline for applying to join NHS is June 3rd so don't delay!

Senior prom tickets will be sold today for $25! Come to the cafeteria during any lunch period. Be sure to turn in your dance contract if you haven't yet this school year!

Want to get your senior prom ticket reimbursed, eat free pizza and talk about sexuality? SWIS is hosting an hour long workshop about healthy sexuality and consent hosted by IHS alumna Sylvie Froncek, with support from Planned Parenthood and the Advocacy Center. The workshop will be today 3:35-4:30 in H-Courtyard. Join the conversation, play games and help create a sex positive culture.
