Snow is coming and we want you to join Ski Club!  The early season and program pass prices are at the lowest all season.  See Mr. Noyes in G-116 or Mr. Breigle in E-16 for forms and to answer any questions.  Prices go up November 17th.

Picture Make up Day will be Tuesday, November 1st in the Activities Building, from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.  Please remember if you didn't get your picture taken the first time, this is the time to do it.  If you want a re-take, please remember to bring your picture packet back with you from the first time.  Even if you don't want to order pictures, please go over and get your picture taken so you can receive your student ID card. Faculty can also get their pictures taken at this time.

 

The Tattler's monthly Writers' Meeting will be Tuesday, November 1 after school in H-Courtyard. Join us to discuss article ideas and sign up to write for the December Issue.

 

There will be a meeting today after school from 3:45 to 4:15 in H-112 for any students interested in forming an Ultimate Frisbee club at the school.

 

A representative from Cornell University’s EOP/HEOP program will be at IHS on Thursday, November 3 at 12:45 in F-16 to discuss the eligibility requirements for this program. If you would like to find out if you might qualify for this program, please plan to attend. You can get a pass from Ms. Sullivan in the main office the day of the event.

 

The following college reps will be visiting IHS today:  Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at 1:00 and Union College at 1:50. See Ms. Sullivan in the College and Career Office for a pass.

Yesterday was a very special day for chemistry students around the country, because it was Mole Day! THE MOLE is an ENORMOUS number, specifically equal to 6.02 x 10 to the 23rd power, which is why it is celebrated from 6:02 am until 6:02 pm on the 23rd day of the 10th month of the year! Since we were not in school on the exact day called Mole Day, here at IHS we will celebrate Mole Day TODAY! In honor of Mole Day, a dozen moles have been hidden around the school today – if you find one, follow the directions on it to claim your prize! Happy Mole Day!

 

Ithaca Players meets after school today in the band room with Mr. Deppe.

 

Undivided will meet today after school in K-102 from 3:40-4:15. Join us for rich discussion, videos, speakers, and fellowship.

If you will be 18 on or before November 8th please make sure you are registered to vote. You can register through today on-line or in person. Be a part of this historic election!

Have you ever wanted to play for the Slytherin Quidditch team? IHS has a team playing in the electric bike Quidditch games during Press Bay Alley’s Wizarding Weekend. Come to the first Quidditch practice this Sunday, October 16, from 1-3 pm in the Press Bay Alley parking lot. See posters around the school for more information.
