Don't miss the fall drama production "Fools!" the wacky comedy by Neil Simon. Performances are this Thurs 11/2, Fri 11/3Sat 11/4 at 7:30  and Sunday at 2 pm. Tickets are available in the cafe during lunch periods and at the door.  But you better buy your tickets before we sell out.
 
Ski club forms for the 2017-2018 season are in G-116!  Scholarships are available and early registration has been moved to November 3rd, 2017. Please sign up asap!  All members are eligible to be in the drawing for a free $50 gift card to Greek Peak.
 
Hey IHS. The senior class is hosting a 5k run November 5th in Stewart Park from 10-12. All proceeds go to the hurricane victims in Puerto Rico. All staff and students are welcome. Email Ms .Erikson if you are interested!
 
Happy Halloween IHS! Vampires aren’t the only ones who need blood... so do we! Did you know that although an estimated 38 percent of the U.S. population is eligible to donate blood, each year less than 10 percent of that eligible population actually does. The Blood Drive is tomorrow! Today is the last day to sign up in the cafeteria during all lunch periods! You must be 16
with a signed parent consent form from the office, or 17 and up. All donors
must be at least 110 Ibs. Take 15 minutes to save a life!
 
Auditions for this year's musical The Hunchback of Notre Dame are coming up soon. If you are interested in auditioning, bring a parent or guardian to the informational meeting on Wednesday November 8th from 7:00-8:15 in the chorus room in “A” building. Check out the flyers around school for more details. We are always looking for new talent, so even if you've never been on stage before, come check it out!
 
Math Club will meet after school today in Room H-211 with Mr. Deppe. Food and drinks will be provided.
 
Beauty of Color Club meets today in F-4. Food will be provided.
 
Yearbook Club meets in Library Lab 1 after school today.
 
Do you like watching YouTubers, TV, Social Media, Movies, Editing? Or have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of a YouTube channel or TV station? If so, TV Production Club has a place for you. TV Production Club will be meeting Mondays and Thursdays in F-41, near the cafeteria.

Did you enjoy Anything Goes last year? Do you want to get in on the action? Auditions for this year's musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, are coming up soon. Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney animated feature, The Hunchback of Notre Dame showcases the film’s Academy Award-nominated score while embracing the darker themes put forth in the original romantic-gothic novel by Hugo. Did you know nearly 21 million blood components are transfused each year in the U.S.? Key Club will be having a blood drive on November 1st. If you are over
16, you can sign up in the cafeteria tomorrow through Monday. You must be 16 with
a signed parent consent form from the office, or 17 and up. All donors must
weigh over 110 Lbs. If you are able, please donate because every single
donation makes a difference. In this case, sharing really is caring.

With the ever growing need for the resettlement of refugees, it has never been more important for Ithaca to be a welcoming host community. Help the cause by joining IHS Welcomes Refugees, which is meeting today in G-204.

 

Math Club will meet after school today in Room H-211 with Mr. Deppe. We have all sorts of fun math problems and competitions for all grades and levels. Food and drinks will be provided.

 

Beauty of Color Club meets today in F-4. Food will be provided.

 

Yearbook Club will meet in Library Lab 1 after school today.

There will be a fan bus to the girls’ varsity soccer game today. The bus will leave IHS at 5:45 and return at approximately 10:00. The cost will be $6 and students will need to be picked up from IHS promptly. Sign up in the Athletic Office in Q Building. There will also be a fan bus to the boys’ soccer game on Saturday. Go Little Red!

James Harrison was a man in Australia who was able to save over 2 million babies by donating his rare blood! This could be you if you participate in Key Club’s blood drive on November 1st with the Red Cross. You can sign up to donate in the Cafeteria during all lunch periods this upcoming Thursday, Monday, and Tuesday. You must be 16 with a signed parent consent form from the office, or 17 and up. Today is a very special day in chemistry classes around the country, because it is the day that we celebrate that famous chemistry concept known as THE MOLE! A mole is an ENORMOUS number, specifically equal to 6.02 x 1023, which is why it is celebrated from 6:02 am until 6:02 pm on the 23rd day of the 10th month of the year! To celebrate this SUPREMELY IMPORTANT CONCEPT, a dozen moles have been hidden around the school today- if you find one, follow the directions on it to claim your prize! Happy Mole Day!

Led by bodybuilding competitors Connor Craib and Ms. Genova, in this club we will provide you with the proper knowledge necessary to achieve whatever goal you have as efficiently as possible; from shredding your six-pack to building those sleek legs. Weight room sessions will be as frequent as we choose. If you’re ready to dive into the world of fitness, come to the main office to sign up.

million people are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in 2017. Many of them
will need blood, sometimes daily, during their chemotherapy treatment.
