Join us for the new Women’s Lit Club, starting Mondays after break in room G107, Ms. Scholl's room. Snacks will be provided. We'll read, write and talk about poetry and short readings by and about women. All are welcome!



Greek Peak is requiring that Ski Club members have a hard copy of the "responsibilities of skiers and acknowledgment risk form" signed by a parent or guardian this year. You will not be able to ski with us this year without it. Please pick up and return forms to Mr. Noyes in G - 116 or to Mr. Breigle in E -16.  



Save the dates for the IHS musical auditions for Rent (the school edition) by Jonathan Larson! On Friday, January 4th, from 4:00PM-6pm in KULP auditorium there will be an orientation.  All those interested in being involved in any aspect of the musical are strongly encouraged to attend this orientation session. For more information about audition dates, times and locations go to your e-mail or the flyers posted.

Winter Formal is IHS’s only all-school dress-up dance. This year it’s on January 12 at Lake Watch Inn. Tickets will be on sale soon after break, and you can find details on the IHS website and through your ICSD email. Hope to see everyone there!

Bowling Night is TONIGHT at 7pm at Bowl-O-Drome. Come and get two games, shoes,
and pizza with the purchase of a senior lanyard. And the Black Light Dance is
tomorrow evening from 6 to 7:30. Each event requires a senior lanyard, which
can be purchased from Mrs. Powers in Mr. Trumble’s office.

Calling all students: Does history matter in
our community? What stories matter to you? What stories have been hidden away,
forgotten, or are not being told? Join The History Center for an afternoon of
conversation and fun activities to explore how we can make these stories
visible! This youth event will take place TODAY from 5 to 6:30 pm at The
History Center in downtown Ithaca. It's free and there will be food. For more

Hey seniors! Bowling Night has been rescheduled for TOMORROW at 7pm at Bowl-O-Drome. Come and get two games, shoes, and pizza with the purchase of a senior lanyard. And don’t forget about the Black Light Dance on Saturday evening. Each event requires a senior lanyard, which can be purchased from Mrs. Powers in Mr. Trumble’s office.

Calling all students: Does history matter in our community? What stories matter to you? What stories have been hidden away, forgotten, or are not being told? Join The History Center for an afternoon of conversation and fun activities to explore how we can make these stories visible! This youth event will take place this Friday from 5 to 6:30 pm at The History Center in downtown Ithaca. It's free and there will be food. For more information, see Mr. Innes.

The student directed one acts are this weekend! Directors Sankofa McLaurin,  Lynne Walker, Leah Slattery, and Jasper Fearon have put together a group of shows that you do not want to miss.  Performance are Friday 12/7 at 4:30 and 7:30 and Saturday 12/8 at 7:30 in the Black Box Theater.  A $5 donation is suggested, but pay what you can.  We want you there!

Write for the Tattler’s annual literary issue! The Tattler is accepting poetry, photography, short fiction and graphic art submissions, and the best works in each category will receive prizes! Attention IHS students. You all are encouraged to attend the 2018 Equity Report Roll-out. The Equity Report Card monitors district progress towards achieving equity in twelve key areas of student achievement and engagement. This is an opportunity for you to be heard! Attending the 2018 Equity Report Roll-out as students offers you an opportunity to lend your voice to the discussion via asking questions, providing feedback, and ultimately, taking ownership in the education of yourself and others. The Equity Report Card Roll-out for Students will take place on Thursday, December 6 at 3:45 in the IHS Cafeteria. Refreshments will be provided.

Attention IHS staff members interested in Lime Bike for Wellness. You are invited to attend a session on Monday December 3rd, from 4:00-5:30 pm in Activities where you will receive $10 worth of rides and a free t-shirt. Please sign up on My Learning Plan if you are interested.

Results for the IHS musical are in.  Rent, School Edition, received the most votes at 233. Little Shop received 223 votes. Thank you to all the students who voted! There are many ways to be involved onstage, backstage, and in the pit. We hope you'll join us. Audition workshops and info sessions will be held in early January.

Hey IHS! This Thursday, the 29th, come to Brain Team's Fall Trivia Night! In teams of up to six people, answer fun trivia questions and get a chance to win prizes. Entry is ten dollars per person, which comes with unlimited pizza and snacks.The event starts at 6:00 pm in the IHS cafeteria. Bring your friends!

Attention Seniors: Tomorrow Lifetouch will be in the lobby of Kulp Auditorium from 8:30-3:00 for any senior who would like to have their portrait taken for the Yearbook. Students should obtain a pass during a free period on Tuesday. If they do not have a free period they can request a pass from their teacher or Associate Principal. These portrait sittings are free and the image will be forwarded to the Yearbook.

Attention SENIORS: If you are a student-athlete who is signing a National Letter of Intent to play Division 1, 2, 3 or Junior College athletics, please sign up for the Fall Signing Ceremony.  The sign up sheets can be found in the Athletics Office, in G207, or in Student Services. The Fall 2018 signing ceremony is tomorrow. The deadline to sign is TODAY.



Supporting Women Impacting Society (SWIS) club meets TODAY and every Monday after school in room G220, to discuss a variety of civil rights issues facing the international community. All are welcome and snacks are provided!
