Move and make music during lunch!  Starting in February, Drums@Lunch will be offered every Tuesday 3rd and 4th period and every Thursday 5th and 6th period in room F34.  Students may join the sessions any time during their lunch hour or free period.   Contact Fe Nunn or Daphne Shululu for more information.

Attention Sophomores who have signed up for the PSAT10 exams!  The PSAT10 practice books are now available in the College and Career Office.



‘The question of whether machines can think is about as interesting as the question of whether submarines can swim.’ Want to teach computers how to think? Talk with your school counselor and enroll in Math Principles of Robotics class next year.



Have you watched an episode of Lake Street News in your email? Interested in how it is made? TV Production club is always accepting new members or people that would just like to pop in and see the movie magic. TV Production club meets every Monday and Thursday after school in F-41. See you there!



Japanese Culture Club will be meeting every Thursday after school in room G209.  We will be discussing the culture, language, and history of Japan, watching Japanese movies and discussing Japanese media and customs!  Everyone is welcome, whether you have lived in Japan, visited or plan to visit Japan, or just want to learn more about Japan! NACLO, the North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad, is coming up soon.  Any secondary-school student who is interested in languages and likes puzzles is encouraged to participate.  This year's competition will be held Thursday, January 24, from 9:45 to 1 PM at Cornell.  There is an info session TODAY at 3:45 in room K 17.  Join us after school to meet with two linguistics professors from Cornell who will go through some practice language puzzles and explain more about the competition.



Are you thinking of taking a gap year? Come hear from IHS alumni who have taken a gap year and learn about the unique experiences they had. This will be held TONIGHT from 7:00 to 7:45 pm in the Activities Room. Students interested in taking a gap year and their parents are encouraged to attend.
