The IHS Brain Team is hosting their annual Fall Team Trivia Night tonight from 6 to 8:30 in the cafeteria. Entrance is $10 per person and teams can be up to 6 people. Come for fun trivia, funky music, and as much pizza and snacks as you can eat!

Please join the IHS football family in congratulating seniors Payton Waight, Spencer Whitmore, and Tyler Driscoll on being selected as Section 4 All-Stars. Sophomores Jack Yaggie and Chase Sposito were honorable mention picks. Along with Tyler and Payton, Liam Just was selected to play in the Ernie Davis Thanksgiving Senior game. The game will be played Tuesday November 26th at UE. Please show your support with a high five to these young men.

Come support Unified Bowling, a mixed competition team for students with and without disabilities. Y.A.C., The Youth Activation Committee, raises awareness for and supports Unified Sports! We are looking for YAC students to cheer on our Unified Sports teams this year. YAC will also help build and choose this year’s Bowling Team. Our next meeting is today after school in H-Courtyard. Everyone is welcome!  Please join us and bring friends. If you cannot attend please email Linda Alzarif, Matthew Fellman, or Stephanie Valletta.

Are you interested in mathematics, economics, or computer science? Do you have theories about how the world works and want to test those using a model? Finance Club will be hosting Jason Meunzen, a former proprietary trader at KKR and Goldman Sachs, to speak about the field of quantitative finance. Quantitative finance combines economics, mathematics, and computer science to create models and recognize patterns that humans won't pick up on. If this sounds interesting to you, come to our meeting today after school.

Make sure to stop by Chipotle this Saturday, November 16th from 5 to 9 pm to support the Junior Class! 1/3 of the proceeds will go directly to us. Simply tell the cashier you are supporting the Class of 2021. We appreciate all of your help!

Burritos and Burrito bowls. Pico de gallo. Guacamole. Craving some Chipotle right now? If so, you're in luck. The senior class is hosting a Chipotle fundraiser this Saturday from 4-8 pm. All you have to do is head over to Chipotle, tell the cashier you're supporting the IHS Senior Class of 2020, or show the cashier a picture of the many chipotle posters hung up around the school, and 33% of your order will go to support your seniors - what a perfect excuse to order extra guac. Bring your friends and see you there!

Hey IHS! Gather your money because habitat for humanity is having a bake sale after school today. We will be selling baked goods such as brownies and cookies outside in front of the bus loop. Funds raised will be donated to Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital.
Stop by after school to make a difference AND walk away with a fudgy brownie.

This could be you if you participate in Key Club’s blood drive on November 13th with the Red Cross. He will be covering the basics of investment, specifically goal-oriented investing such as investing in companies working to fight climate change. It will be a great opportunity for students looking to learn how to become financially secure. The presentation will be held in G208, from 3:30 to 4:30. Anyone is welcome!

Are you interested in explosions, chemical experiments, or learning about reactions? Join Chemistry Club this afternoon in H113, Mr. Turner’s room.

Come learn how scientists solve problems, analyze data, and draw graphics with the Scientific Computing club, today after school in Ms. Lynn's room E25.  No prior coding experience necessary. 

Are you interested in biology? Do you want to do fun research and enter in internationally recognized competitions? Come to Ms. Jewett's room in H114 Thursdays after school to learn more about how you can be part of something great!

Sign up during lunch periods starting tomorrow in the cafeteria! You must be 16 with a signed parent consent form from the office, or 17 and up. All donors must weigh more than 110 pounds. Attention 9th graders! If you are thinking about running for a class officer position, please come to the 9th grade elections meeting after school today in H-Courtyard. This meeting is mandatory
for any student wishing to get their name on the ballot. Please see Mr. Mellander in H-122 if you have any questions. 



If you’re interested in trying out for the Boys Swim & Dive Team this winter season there will be a  brief pre-season meeting this Monday from 3:45-4:15 pm. in the Multi-Purpose Room.



Guess what IHS?! Key Club is excited to announce that they will be hosting Ithaca High School’s first blood drive of the year on Nov. 13th. Did you know that 240 units of blood were donated and
sent to El Paso, Texas after the mass shooting at the city’s Walmart? If you sign up to donate blood you will directly impact human lives. Sign ups will be in the cafeteria during lunch periods this Thursday and Friday, and next Tuesday. You must be 16 with parental consent, or 17 and up. All donors must weigh at least 110 lbs. Parent consent forms are in the main office. It only takes 15 minutes to save a life!
