The IHS Food Drive is underway. Please bring in nonperishable food items to your classes or drop off in the main office, your donation has a direct impact on the IHS community.

There will be a Unified Sports meeting tomorrow in room K-103 at 3:45.  Please see Ms. Valletta if you have any questions.

The Chromebook club will be meeting tomorrow after school in the library. We will be moving forward with a new project and there will be refreshments.



Ski Club Members, there is a mandatory meeting this Thursday, December 13th at 3:35 pm in G116.  If you are interested in joining ski club please have your forms submitted by this meeting.  The buses are filling up, so please act accordingly.  Thank you.

The PSAT-10 exam will be given to all interested sophomore students on Friday, March 1.  Students can register and pay for the exam with Mr. Barnes in the College and Career Office. Students with Free or Reduced Lunch may qualify for a fee waiver for the exam. The deadline to register is this Friday. If you expect to receive testing accommodations you must apply for these through College Board.

The 40th annual IHS Craft Fair is this Friday! Students and staff are invited to drop by Activities from 9 to 2 for gift items, food, music, and the chance to relax with friends. Hope to see you there!

Hey seniors! Bowling Night has been rescheduled for Friday, December 14th at 7pm at Bowl-O-Drome.

Come and get two games, shoes, and pizza with the purchase of a senior lanyard. Hope to see you there!



The Chromebook club will be meeting Wednesday December 12 after school in the library. We will be moving forward with a new project and there will be refreshments.



The PSAT-10 exam will be given to all interested sophomore students on Friday, March 1.  Students can register and pay for the exam with Mr. Barnes in the College and Career Office. Students with Free or Reduced Lunch may qualify for a fee waiver for the exam. The deadline to register is Friday, Dec.14. If you expect to receive testing accommodations you must apply for these through College Board.

The student directed one acts are this weekend! Directors Sankofa McLaurin,  Lynne Walker, Leah Slattery, and Jasper Fearon have put together a group of shows that you do not want to miss.  Performance are Friday 12/7 at 4:30 and 7:30 and Saturday 12/8 at 7:30 in the Black Box Theater.  A $5 donation is suggested, but pay what you can.  We want you there!

Japanese Culture Club will be meeting today after school in room G209.  We will be discussing the culture, language, and history of Japan, watching movies and discussing Japanese media and customs!  Everyone is welcome. Please see Ms. Wilcox in G209 with any questions!

Write for the Tattler’s annual literary issue! The Tattler is accepting poetry, photography, short fiction and graphic art submissions. The best works in each category will receive prizes! Send submissions to editor@ihstattler.com by midnight TONIGHT to have your work featured in the issue.
Attention IHS students. You’re encouraged to attend the 2018 Equity Report Roll-out TODAY at 3:45 in the Cafeteria. The Equity Report Card monitors district progress towards achieving equity in twelve key areas of student achievement and engagement. This is an opportunity for you to be heard! Refreshments will be provided.

IHS students and staff; if you are interested in singing the National Anthem at any of our home athletic events please stop by the Athletic Office (Q115) to sign up.

The Ithaca City School District is proud to be awarding the NYS Seal of Biliteracy for the first time this year to eligible seniors.  If you are proficient in two or more languages, then please come to the Family Information Night on Tuesday, December 4th at 7pm in Activities to learn more about this prestigious award.

Checks should be made out to Ithaca High School. Students with Free or Reduced Lunch may qualify for a fee waiver for the exam.  The deadline to register is Friday, December 14, 2018.  Practice booklets will be given out well before the date of the exam.  If you expect to receive testing accommodations you must apply for these through College Board.

The deadline for registering for the ski club bus is December 18th.  Stop by G116 to ask about our scholarship program.  Sign up as soon as possible with Mr. Heurich, Mr. Krywe, or Mr. Breigle.  All members are eligible to win free swag during the season!

Attention IHS staff members interested in Lime Bike for Wellness. You are invited to attend a session on Monday December 3rd, from 4:00-5:30 pm in Activities where you will receive $10 worth of rides and a free t-shirt. Please sign up on My Learning Plan if you are interested.
If you have been invited to participate in the field trip, "Hope Saturdays," please return your permission slip to G211. If you need another permission slip or have any questions,  you can also stop by G211.
