Athletic Study Hall will be tomorrow from 3:45-4:45 PM in York Lecture Hall.



School photos will be passed out today during all lunch periods. Students should pick them up in the hallway outside the cafeteria. 



Are you interested in how the Chromebooks work or in virtual reality? Do you need some community service hours?  If so please come to Chromebook Club’s first meeting this Thursday in the Library.  There will be refreshments.



Are you interested in joining IHS TSA? Come to our first informational meeting on Thursday October 10th, in room E4 from 3:45-4:30! We would love to see new faces! See Mr. Sauve or Mr. Sevilla if you have any questions! 

Anyone up for a weekly math brain teaser?  Stop by and check out the Math Challenge of the Week on the bulletin board outside of H-201.  Submit your answer in the box by each Friday and get your name on the Wall of Fame if you get it correct.  Each month, a prize winner will be chosen from all weekly Wall of Famers for that month.  Hope to see you outside of H-201 soon!



Attention Juniors and Seniors: The TC-3 College Fair will be taking place on Tuesday, October 15th.  Permission forms to attend the trip can be picked up in the College and Career Office. The firm deadline for turning in the forms to the College and Career Office will be Friday, October 4th, at 3:45 p.m.  Permission forms will not be accepted after that date and time.

The Rotary Club of Ithaca is accepting applications through Saturday for the Rotary Youth Exchange Scholarship Program.  Students currently in grades 9, 10, and 11 who are interested in the opportunity to spend next school year overseas in the highly regarded Rotary exchange program should see Mrs. Miettunen in K18 for more information and an application. Applications are due this Saturday.

The Technology Student Association (TSA) provides student members the opportunity to explore a wide variety of science, technology, engineering, and math interests while competing against thousands of other students from all over the country (and in some cases the world!).
Participation in competitions allows TSA members to apply technology and engineering skills in challenging and innovative ways. Working individually or as a team, student members select events based on their own skills and interests. Are you interested in joining IHS TSA? Come to our first

Undivided will meet after school today in K102. Everyone is welcome!



Today after school is the first meeting of French club in K-1.  If you want to learn new songs, play games in French and hang out with others who also want to use French, come join us and munch on a crepe.



The IHS Brain Team will be meeting in G102 after school today. All new and current members should plan on attending so that we can finalize our roster for our first tournament of the year.



Do you like Kpop music? Do you want to learn dances? If so, then join the Kpop dance club! We meet today after school at the dance studio. Looking forward to seeing you there! 



Interested in STEM subjects? Want to compete in science related events against students from all around New York State? Join Science Olympiad! We meet today after school in E-31. 



The first Mock Trial club meeting is Tuesday from 3:30 to 4 in  Ms. Deverin’s room, K-19. New members are strongly encouraged to attend!

Seniors! If you pre-ordered a lanyard last week, come to H-Courtyard today during any lunch period to it up! If you don’t have a lunch period, or are not at IHS during lunch periods, please see Mr. Mellander in H-122. We are not selling lanyards this week but we will be soon so stay tuned!



Today is the first varsity football home game. We are asking all faculty, staff, and students attending to wear WHITE. We are doing a "White Out" just like last year. We appreciate your support and want Moresco Stadium rockin' friday night. Kickoff is at 7:00 pm!

Also Saturday morning the football program is having a pancake breakfast fundraiser at the Moose Lodge from 8:00am-11:00am. Tickets are $7 in advance and $8 at the door. You can see any team member for tickets in advance.

We meet today in Room G208 after school and Ms. Kautz is the advisor. Everyone is welcome no matter your level of experience or financial literacy.

Hey IHS Students! Do you love playing questions on trivia apps or obsessively watch game shows like Jeopardy? If so, consider joining the Brain Team! Brain Team is Ithaca High School’s nationally ranked quiz bowl team, and we are looking for new members to expand our roster! If you are interested and want to see what we are about, come to our new member meeting today after school in G102 to find out what playing academic quiz bowl looks like and to possibly attend future regional or even national competitions. See you there!



If you are interested in going to Spain during February break, you need to see Mrs. Miettunen in K18 today to hold your spot.   We're doing lots of fundraising and regular trip club meetings will start soon.

Announcement: Hey captains! Thursday, September 19th will be our fist Captains Council meeting of the year. Captains from last winter or spring, and captains from this fall will be expected to be there. If you are a captain and are not able to make it, please send someone else from your team. There will be food. 



Auditions for the Fall Drama, Twelve Angry Men, will be this Wednesday from 6 to 9pm and Thursday from 4 to 7 pm. Attend one audition only. No preparation necessary. Casting will be non-traditional and all who wish to participate in the production will be able to do so. Please contact Ms. Tino for more information.



Want to learn investment research and strategy? Interested in learning about the stock market and trading? Join IHS Finance & Entrepreneurship Club. We meet on Thursdays in Room G208 after school and Ms. Kautz is the advisor. Everyone is welcome no matter your level of experience/financial literacy. Our first meeting will be on Thursday the 19th. 



Want to learn how to build houses while volunteering for community service hours? Join Habitat for Humanity Club. We go around to local build sites in Tompkins County and help make home ownership experience possible for dedicated members of our community by helping them build their own homes. Hands on experience, volunteer hours, making an impact, why not join? Contact Mr. Shyne or Yann Sylvester for details regarding the build sites and build dates.

The Rotary Club of Ithaca is accepting applications through 9/28/19, for the 2020-21 Rotary Youth Exchange Scholarship Program.   Students currently in grades, 9, 10, and 11, who are interested in the opportunity to spend the 2020-21 school year overseas in the highly regarded Rotary exchange program, should see Mrs. Miettunen in K18 for more information and an applications. Applications are due September 28.



Attention Seniors!  Want to polish up your essay writing skills for college applications? Then be sure to attend the College Essay Writing Workshop. It will take place on Tuesday, September 24th, in York Lecture Hall during all lunch periods. To attend please sign up with Mr. Barnes in the College and Career Office. Teachers are also invited to bring their entire classes.
