A Day



Key Club’s Coloring book and Crayola Crayon Drive will continue up until today. Donations can be dropped off at the designated box in the main office and they will be sent to the kids at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital. To make sure the kids are safe and healthy, the hospital asks that all donations be new, and that crayons be of the Crayola brand. Brighten a child’s day by contributing to the Coloring book and Crayola Crayon drive. 





There will be a mandatory meeting for all Unified Bowlers in room G-112 after school on Monday, January 6. This is the Monday right after break. Please arrive on time!

Our ski club meeting is today at 3:45 pm in York.  Please make sure you are on time.  If you plan on joining the IHS ski club, we only have six seats left. There will be no holding seats - all forms and money must be turned in to have a spot on the bus. Thank You!

Link Leaders, we have a meeting today during fourth period, and don't forget to bring at least 3 items for the Food Drive.

This afternoon, a guest speaker from Cornell's Kroch Asia Library will be coming to Japanese Language & Culture Club! He'll be presenting on both Japanese historical prints and pop culture and bringing in exclusive artifacts! Come to H201 after school to check it out. All are welcome to come and listen!

Don't miss the student directed one act plays this weekend! Performances are today at 4:30 and again at 7, and Saturday at 7, all in the Black Box Theater. A $5 donation is requested, but pay what you can!

Today during lunch periods the Chromebook club will be demonstrating the library of things. The library of Things is a program from BOCES that lets people borrow stem related gadgets. Come take a look and have a blast while expanding you STEM knowledge. In the library during all lunch periods.

Seniors! Don't forget to sell your donuts! Remember, you earn a free senior prom ticket when you sell 20 boxes. The top seller will also earn a basket of gift cards from local businesses. Every sale made goes towards making YOUR prom and trip costs more affordable. In order to avoid sky-high prices, EVERYONE needs to sell. A dozen donuts costs $8 and order forms can be found in your government and econ classes and outside of Mr. Mellander's office. Remember to collect order payments before you turn in your forms on Friday, December 13th to either Mr. Mellander or the Krispy Kreme table in the Cafeteria.

You know what sounds amazing right now? A big box of Krispy Kreme donuts. Luckily, the senior class is hosting a Krispy Kreme fundraiser RIGHT NOW! Make sure to get your donuts before the fundraiser ends on Friday, December 13th. A box of a dozen original glazed donuts is $8. To order donuts, bring in money, find a senior, and tell them that you'd like to help support the senior class. On Thursday, December 12th and Friday, December 13th, the seniors will also be taking orders in the cafeteria during lunch periods. 

Would you like to make money for your class or club off of the Krispy Kreme fundraiser? The seniors will donate $50 to your class or club for every 60 boxes that your class or club sells. Order forms can be found in the main office and the library - make sure the payment for each order is collected when the order is taken, and make sure the name of your organization is written on the form. You can turn in the forms on Friday, December 13th to Mr. Mellander's office or to the Krispy Kreme table in the Cafeteria during lunch periods.

The IHS Brain Team is hosting their annual Fall Team Trivia Night tonight from 6 to 8:30 in the cafeteria. Entrance is $10 per person and teams can be up to 6 people. Come for fun trivia, funky music, and as much pizza and snacks as you can eat!

Picture retakes are in! 9th and 10th graders can pick them up with Ms.Smith in G-211 and 11/12th graders go to Mrs. Blake in G-109A.

Did you know that pads and tampons are the most commonly requested items in homeless shelters? This month SWIS is hosting the annual tampon drive. Bring in unopened packages of pads and tampons and drop them off in your teacher's rooms. Donations will go to women in need!
