Applications for National Honor Society are due to the main office TODAY.



K-pop is holding their annual concert tonight and Saturday at 7 pm in the Black Box Theater. Come buy your tickets during lunch periods for four dollars. All tickets are being sold beforehand and none will be sold at the door.



Happy Friday IHS!  Did you know that although an estimated 38 percent of the U.S. population is eligible to donate blood, each year less than 10 percent of that eligible population actually does. The Blood Drive is this Tuesday! You can sign up during all lunch periods in the cafeteria, library or H- Courtyard! You must be 16 with a signed parent consent form from the sign-up stations, or 17 and up.  Take 15 minutes to save a life and end the year off by donating a pint of blood! Let's get this blood IHS!!

Hey IHS! Did you know that 36,000 units of red blood cells are needed every day in the United States? On June 4th, Link Crew will be hosting the last blood drive of the year, so sign up to donate blood and contribute to the cause! You must be 16 with a parent consent. Forms can be found at the sign up stations in the cafeteria, library, or H- Courtyard. If you are 17 and older no extra paperwork is needed. Teachers and staff can donate too! We encourage you to donate! Join the students in making a difference! Sign up today, tomorrow, or on Monday.  15 minutes is all it takes to save a life, or two, or three!

Come to the IHS Spring Choral Concert tonight at 7:30 in Kulp Auditorium. We'll open with a coronation for a King, close with a celebration of Queen, and feature dozens of singers - including our graduating seniors - in between. Hope to see you there!

A panel of college athletes, including some IHS graduates, will be sharing information and answering questions regarding transitioning to college life.  Breakfast will be provided, and we hope to see you all there.

Congratulations to the eleven students who are the first in the Ithaca City School District to earn the New York State Seal of Biliteracy!  This year's recipients are: Cora Easton, Taerim Eom, Gabriela Higashi, Andrew Kim, Magda Kossowska, Anna Loyko, Julian Perry, Nicole Pikulik, Felix Shi, Margot Stern and Priscilla Ziefle.  These seniors demonstrated proficiency in speaking, listening, reading and writing in two or more languages, including German, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian, in addition to English.  If you are a junior and interested in applying for the Seal of Biliteracy, pick up a statement of intent outside Ms. Ufford's office, K104-A.

The first Unified Sports home game is today at 4:30 in Bliss Gym. The theme is Hawaiian so find your best Hawaiian shirt and grass skirt and head to the gym tomorrow! There will be a DJ, halftime show presented by our girls lacrosse team, and a great game between Ithaca and Lansing!



The Tattler will be having its June issue writers’ meeting today after school in H-courtyard. If you've been wanting to write all year, or if you're interested in writing next year, this is your chance! Join to discuss article ideas with our new board and sign up to write. There will be food!

Attention seniors! Cap and gown pick-up is TODAY! Pick up new caps, gowns, and tassels in H-Courtyard during lunch periods. If you ordered a borrowed cap and gown, please go to Mr. Mellander’s office in H-122. Don’t forget!



Today is May 1st, the first day of Mental Health Month! Remember to look out for events planned by Active Minds throughout this month. The final week of May will be mental health week, where speakers from the community will come to IHS!



The first Unified Sports home game is tomorrow at 4:30 in Bliss Gym. The theme is Hawaiian so find your best Hawaiian shirt and grass skirt and head to the gym tomorrow! There will be a DJ, halftime show presented by our girls lacrosse team, and a great game between Ithaca and Lansing!



Attention all students: the yearbook is completed and will be here in a few weeks. The Yearbook team is seeking new members to begin to learn how the book is put together in hopes of putting together a great team to create the 2020 yearbook. Please join us in Library Lab 1 afterschool for a brief training and pizza!



Our Spring National Letter of Intent signing ceremony will be May 23rd at 6 PM in the Black Box Theater.  If you are planning to attend a Division, 1, 2, 3, or Junior College to play a sport, please sign up on the sheet outside of G207 or the Athletics Office.  Please see Ms. Valletta or Ms. Little if you have any questions.
