IHS's school newspaper, The Tattler, is hosting its first Writers' Meeting of the year today after school in H-courtyard. Join us to discuss article ideas and sign up to write for the October issue. All are welcome!
Come to Undivided today Monday after school in K-102 as we begin to plan our upcoming events. Everyone is welcome.
Picture Day will is today and Tuesday.  It's important to get your picture taken so you will receive your school ID.  This is important for all students, including Seniors.
Are you interested in behind the scenes theater? Lighting, sound, set construction, properties? Theater Tech Club will be having an initial meeting Wednesday, September 13 after school in the Black Box Theater. Anyone interested is welcome, and no experience is necessary.
Attention seniors! A Senior Lanyard is your admission ticket into senior events throughout the year. Lanyards can be pre-ordered from Mr. Mellander in Activities for $15 from now through Sept. 22nd. Students eligible for free and reduced price lunch can order one for half the price. Get yours today! 
Looking for a new experience?  Join IHS BioBuilders and learn about genetic engineering hands-on.  Come to H-114 after school on Thursday, Sept. 14th for a brief information meeting.
SWIS will be meeting today after school in H-207 and there will be snacks. 
Attention Juniors: Please stop by the main office to see Ms. Sullivan to sign up for the PSAT that will be given on Wednesday, October 11. There will be no charge to take the exam and you will receive a practice booklet and an informational sheet when you register. This exam is for Juniors only!
Juniors and Seniors interested in attending the TC3 College Fair on Tuesday, October 17 should pick up permission slips in the Main Office or Student Services. The deadline for returning your permission slips is October 2. The College Fair will also have an evening session from 6-8 p.m. for students wishing to attend with their parents. IHS will not provide transportation for the evening session.
Hey y’all! If you care about the environment, come to Green Team, today after school in Mr. Johnson’s room, H-104. There will be food!

Green Team has placed boxes around the school labeled “Chuck Yo’ Junk” where you can leave old binders and notebooks that are in good condition to be re-used next year. Y’all don’t be lazy! Take a minute and chuck yo dang junk!!
 
Today is the final day to pick up Yearbooks. If you have not picked up your book by the end of the day, you will have to arrange a time to purchase/pick up your book by contacting Adviser Lyn Reitenbach in G-114.
 
Attention all members of the Music Production Club: if you have borrowed any materials this year, please return them as soon as you can.
 
Are you interested in helping the homeless?  Second Wind is a nonprofit group that provides housing for formerly homeless men.  A group of IHS students will be helping to landscape these cottages on June 28 from 1-5 pm.  If you want to help, drop by K-102 to get a permission slip that needs a guardian's signature.

Green Team has placed boxes around the school labeled “Chuck Yo’ Junk” where you can leave old binders and notebooks that are in good condition to be re-used next year. Y’all don’t be lazy! Take a minute and chuck yo dang junk!!

 

Yearbooks can be picked up and purchased in the cafeteria each lunch period. Bring checks for $75 made out to IHS Annual.

 

Attention current IHS juniors! Applications for National Honor Society are now available. The due date is June 8. Please see the email from Mr. Mellander for information and to print the application. Don't miss the deadline--June 8!

 

Freshman! Stressed about exams? Come to Cookies and Cram after school on Thursday, June 8th from 3:45 to 6 to get help from upper classmen, hang with friends and eat LOTS of free food. See you there!

 

Are you interested in running cross country next fall? Come to our meeting on Thursday, June 8th at 3:45 in Room H-111 to meet the team and coaches! Important information about summer training will be handed out.

 

Attention all members of the Music Production Club: if you have borrowed any materials this year, please return them as soon as you can.

 

Are you interested in helping the homeless?  Second Wind is a nonprofit group that provides housing for formerly homeless men.  A group of IHS students will be helping to landscape these cottages on June 28 from 1-5 pm.  If you want to help, drop by K-102 to get a permission slip that needs a guardian's signature.

 

Teachers - Don't forget the Teacher and Staff Appreciation Luncheon is today from 10 am - 2 pm in Activities.  Please allow the parents and IHS PTA to thank you for all your hard work and dedication.  Come enjoy a delicious Middle Eastern lunch, followed by an assortment of scrumptious desserts, which are donated by appreciative parents. 

 

There will be a Student Council meeting in YORK today during 5th period. See you there!

 

Tonight  the Ithaca High School Bands will celebrate their 100th anniversary with a free concert and reception. Join us at 7:30 tonight in Kulp auditorium.

Prom tickets will be on sale today ONLY during lunch periods in the cafeteria. Prices are $25 or $10 if you receive free or reduced lunch. There will be no tickets sold after today 6th period. Everyone needs a dance contract, so if you haven’t been to another dance already this year, pick one up today in the Main Office. And to remind everyone, Senior Prom is for seniors and their guests only.

Prom tickets will be on sale today, and TUESDAY ONLY during lunch periods in the cafeteria. Prices are $25 or $10 if you receive free or reduced lunch. There will be no tickets sold after Tuesday 6th period. Everyone needs a dance contract, so if you haven’t been to another dance already this year, pick one up today in the Main Office. And to remind everyone, Senior Prom is for seniors and their guests only.
