Day 2
Hey IHS! Interested in helping out in fun projects such as
planting trees and collaborating with local parks that help the school and
community be more sustainable? The IHS Green Team is still looking for new
members! In fact, there will be an informational meeting for potential new
members on Monday, March 3rd.
Baked goods will be available. Hope to see you there!
Do you feel a hunger?
A hunger for knowledge? A hunger for power? A hunger for a
better world? Will all-you-can-eat burritos help? Come to Moe's
this Friday from 7 – 10 p.m. for a $10 all-you-can eat fundraiser for the IHS
Brain Team. That's right! Only $10 gets you all the burritos,
nachos, tacos, and quesadillas you can eat! Bring a copy or a cell-phone
picture of our flyers found in the halls, cafeteria, and H-courtyard to Moe’s
this Friday, the 28th, to support the Brain Team. It's food for your
Brain!
Cabaret
Night is coming! Join us for an evening of music and comedy Friday, March 7 and
Saturday, March 8 in the cafeteria. Tickets are $5.00 and will be on sale
during lunch periods and at the door. See you there!
The Senior Class invites you
all to participate in IHS' first ever lip dub music video for charity! We need
as many clubs, sports teams, and grades to participate and lip sing in this
music video as possible! If you are interested please come to the first
information meeting next Tuesday March 4th at H-Courtyard afterschool--Come
raise school spirit and make history!
Tweet Tweet! Birdies will be
flyin’ in the gym THIS Saturday, March 1st, from 1-4 pm during the
annual Badminton Tournament. Find a partner, pick a team name, and sign up for
$5 per person at the badminton bake sale during lunch periods this week. There
will be food and drinks for sale. Don’t miss out on this crazy event!
Attention Seniors and Underclassmen – Applications for the
numerous 2014 awards are now available in the College and Career Center.
Make sure you pick one up. If you have any questions, please see
Mr. Noyes in G116. The Senior Award Application deadline is March 28th.
Attention all interested juniors! The first meeting for the junior
prom committee will take place this Friday at 3:40, in Mr. Miller’s room,
G-107. All interested juniors are welcome.
ATTENTION SPRING ATHLETES: YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR PAPERWORK THIS
WEEK TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY THIS SPRING! Hand your forms in to the Medical
Office ASAP.
The qualifying exam for AP Literature and AP Language will
be given Thursday, February 27 after school in York. Any student who has signed
up for either of these classes must take this exam if you didn’t take it
yesterday. See Mr. Byrne in F-5 with any questions.
Hear Ye! The 14th Annual Poetry Slam will be
Shakespeare’s Birthday, April 23 after school! Start writing..
There will be a National College Fair at Onondaga Community
College on Tuesday, March 18. Many college representatives will be on hand to
answer questions and provide information on their colleges. Please come to the
College & Career Office to sign up. This is open to sophomores, juniors and
seniors.
