Hey
Hey Hey Link Leaders we have a meeting THURSDAY SEVENTH period. Wear your
shirts... SEA OF BLUE!!! See you there.
Hey Students! You can sign up for this Saturday’s Dodge Ball
Tournament all this week in the cafeteria during lunch periods. The entry
fee is $20 per four player team and payment for at least one team member must
be made when you enter. A waiver form to be signed by a parent or
guardian will also be issued and can be returned to the sign-up table or at the
tournament this Saturday in Bliss Gym at 1pm.
Welcome to Earth Week, IHS! Get ready for some important
info on environmental issues and what you can do to help! In 2013, the U.S.
emitted 5,500 metric tons of carbon dioxide, which when added to the atmosphere
in such large quantities, increases the greenhouse effect and leads to climate
changes the world over. In order to curb emissions, we need to reduce our use
of fossil fuels and use more energy from clean sources! Small steps you can
take are turning off lights when you leave a room; walking, carpooling or
taking the bus to school; and buying locally-grown food! To start on your way
to a bigger action, try finding out your carbon footprint at myfootprint.org or
having an energy audit done on your house! Or come to IHS Green Team meetings
Mondays after school in H-104 to make a difference in your school and
community!
