Day 6
Hey Ithaca HS, we want your videos. The yearbook can now embed videos in
the yearbook. If you have a short video that you would like to have included
please submit it to ithaca.yearbook@gmail.com by April 15th! Make sure you
get a yearbook so you can see the pictures come to life before your eyes!
Hey IHS! If you have a reusable water bottle, remember to bring it to
school so we can reduce the number of plastic cups used each day! Or you can
reuse a drink bottle. You may not have known that the plastic cups by the water
jugs are recyclable. They are! So if you use a plastic cup, make sure to put it
in a recycling bin when you’re done!
Wondering how you can participate in Social Justice? Register to
vote! To fill out a registration form, come to H-Courtyard any time this
week. Just make sure you will be 18 by the election date and know your
driver's license number or social security number. You will be registered
in time to vote in May's school board election. If you have
questions check with Mr. Lesser in H109.
Hey IHS, on Thursday, March 24 Student Council
will be having a fundraiser outside of Bliss gym entrance. We will be selling
donuts for $1 each. Make sure you stop by for a delicious snack!
Did you know homeless shelters say their #1 most requested products are
pads and tampons? This year, Social Justice Week is sponsoring a drive to
collect pads and tampons for women in need. Donate in the main office or ask
your teachers if they are participating, because the class that donates the
most wins a prize!
Social
Justice Week is today through Friday, 1st
through 8th period on topics such as the environment, LGTBQ issues, and human
rights. This is a student-run event, and the planning committee encourages
their peers to attend presentations during their free periods. Be on the
lookout for schedules in the halls and your classrooms.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Scholarship is now available
for African-American or Latino/a graduating high school senior with a minimum
GPA of a 3.0. See Ms. Sullivan or go online for the application.
The deadline is April 15th.
Attentions Seniors - The
senior award application is due March 25th. Please make sure you get
this in on time!
The Tattler is looking for next year's editors! Pick up an application
form in the main office or the library or look out for a digital form in your
school email and submit it by April 4. Positions are open for every IHS student except
seniors to apply, and even if you haven't written anything for the paper to
this point, feel free to pick up an application and apply!
