Day 2
Patrick O’dowd, a former IHS graduate will be
visiting Ithaca High School tomorrow, March 10th during lunch
periods in H-Conference room. Patrick is currently a sophomore at the United
States Military Academy at West Point. Anyone interested in attending West
Point or any military academy and would like to talk with Cadet O’dowd about
his experiences with life at the academy and being in the military, please see
Ms. Sullivan in the main office to get your pass.
Ladies and gentlemen of all ages, if you want to
be an expert in team building, crafting, and fun times – come to the Minecraft
Club on Mondays in Lab 1 in the library, we will accept all new members with
open arms. So grab your pickaxes and let’s start digging towards a better
future!
Hey Ithaca HS, we want your videos. The
yearbook can now embed videos in the yearbook. If you have a short video that
you would like to have included please submit it to ithaca.yearbook@gmail.com by April 15th! Make sure you get a yearbook so you
can see the pictures come to life before your eyes!
This is a reminder to all seniors. Please pick
up your senior awards application in the main office. The deadline to turn them
in is March 25.

-- April 8th
Attention Juniors! Do you have leadership potential? Why not apply for the Rotary Youth Leadership Award. Winners will spend one week at a summer leadership conference for Juniors throughout the region. The conference will be held at SUNY Oneonta from Sunday, June 26th through Friday, July 1. All expenses will be paid. See Ms. Sullivan in the main office for an application. Hurry! All applications must be turned in by Monday, March 14th.
Hey IHS! Are you good at graphic design or art?
Are you interested in showcasing your skills and winning a prize for it?
Compete in the Class of 2019's T-Shirt Design Competition. You will receive two
weeks in which to design a logo or image to put onto all of the freshman class
merchandise. The winner or winners will receive a cash prize as well as an item
of merchandise. Rules will be posted around the school and on the freshman
class blog, ihs19.weebly.com. Ask Mrs.
Wright, the IHS art teachers or the freshman class officers if you are
interested and have questions!
