A Day
Attention wrestlers and
winter track and field: There will be an informational meeting this afternoon
in the multipurpose room at 3:45. If you have any questions, please see Coach
Parker or Coach Hunter.
If you are interested in
going to Spain during February break, you need to see Mrs. Miettunen in K18 today
to hold your spot. We're doing lots of fundraising and regular
trip club meetings will start soon.
Want
to get more involved in the community? Come join Key Club today after school
for our first meeting of the year in H206, Ms. Gefell's room. We do community
service, get connected with volunteer opportunities in the community, eat
snacks, and have a great time! New members are always welcome!
Code
Red Robotics is holding their first new member meeting today from 3:45 to
4:30pm in room E1. Code Red isn't just robotics. If you are interested in
joining an inclusive, fun and educational club, Code Red might be right for
you. No experience is required. Just the willingness to have fun, learn and
work with others. Hope to see you Tuesday!
There will be a math team
meeting today after school in Mr. Deppe's room, H211. New members are welcome.
Food and drinks will be provided.
Beauty of Color Club begins
today at 3:45 pm in Activities. Beauty of Color is for all students. Come check
us out, and bring a friend. Look forward to seeing you!
International Club starts
today after school in K118. New room - K118. All welcome.
Come share your cultures, food, games, music and plan for an end-of-year
trip.
Auditions for the Fall Drama,
Twelve Angry Men, will be tomorrow from 6 to 9pm and Thursday from 4 to 7 pm.
Attend one audition only. No preparation necessary. Casting will be non-traditional
and all who wish to participate in the production will be able to do so. Please
contact Ms. Tino for more information.
Are you interested in
biology? Do you want to do fun research and enter in internationally recognized
competitions? Come to Ms. Jewett's room in H114 this Thursday after school to
learn more about how you can be a part of something great!
Announcement: Hey captains!
This Thursday will be our first Captains Council meeting of the year. Captains
from last winter or spring, and captains from this fall will be expected to be
there. If you are a captain and are not able to make it, please send someone
else from your team. There will be food.
Want
to learn investment research and strategy? Interested in learning about the
stock market and trading? Join IHS Finance & Entrepreneurship Club. We meet
on Thursdays in Room G208 after school and Ms. Kautz is the advisor. Everyone
is welcome no matter your level of experience/financial literacy. Our first
meeting will be on Thursday the 19th.
The
Rotary Club of Ithaca is accepting applications through 9/28/19, for the
2020-21 Rotary Youth Exchange Scholarship Program. Students currently in
grades, 9, 10, and 11, who are interested in the opportunity to spend the
2020-21 school year overseas in the highly regarded Rotary exchange program,
should see Mrs. Miettunen in K18 for more information and an application.
Applications are due September 28.
Attention
Seniors! Want to polish up your essay writing skills for college
applications? Then be sure to attend the College Essay Writing
Workshop. It will take place on Tuesday,
September 24th, in York Lecture Hall during all lunch periods. To attend
please sign up with Mr. Barnes in the College and Career Office. Teachers are also invited to bring their
entire classes.
Want
to learn how to build houses while volunteering for community service hours?
Join Habitat for Humanity Club. We go around to local build sites in Tompkins
County and help make home ownership experience possible for dedicated members
of our community by helping them build their own homes. Hands on experience,
volunteer hours, making an impact, why not join? Contact Mr. Shyne or Yann
Sylvester for details regarding the build sites and build dates.
Greetings Staff! In case you were
wondering, our wellness center/weight room is open to staff 4-6 pm Monday-
Thursday. If there are times during the day you want to get into the weight
room, please stop by Q115A, and we will hook you up! ICSD Staff...Striving to
