A Day

Hey IHS! Valentine’s day is coming up! Purchase some carnations from Key Club available today until the 14th to give your loved ones a sweet surprise for just a dollar! For only one extra dollar, you can get your carnations delivered!

IHS Boxing Club is underway! If you’re interested in signing up, meetings are on Mondays after school in the Cafeteria.

The preseason girls lacrosse meeting will take place at 4 pm tomorrow in the Multipurpose Room.

Science Olympiad placed first at their regional competition this past Saturday! They have qualified for States! Congratulations to this outstanding achievement!

This Saturday, the IHS Brain Team played in a quizbowl tournament at Geneva High School. The Ithaca A team, featuring Isaiah Gutman, Julian Perry, Kaelan Imani, and Rohit Lal, won the tournament after going undefeated for nine rounds and setting a new national record for highest sustained average points per game over the course of the day. The Ithaca B Team, featuring Tony Yang, Alice Lee-Kleinberg, and Patrick Yuan, took 4th place. Both teams have qualified for national competitions in Atlanta and Washington, DC. Congratulations to all who played!

Starting tomorrow, Drums@Lunch will be offered every Tuesday 3rd and 4th period and every Thursday 5th and 6th period in room F34.  Students may join the sessions any time during their lunch hour or free period.  Contact Fe Nunn or Daphne Shululu for more information.

Attention students and staff! GIAC is holding the Black History Month Talent Show here at IHS on Friday, February 15th. The show is free to attend and will feature a variety of performances from our own African-Latino Club and many community members. The show is free and runs from 6 to 8 pm in Kulp Auditorium.

Attention Sophomores who have signed up for the PSAT-10 exams!  The PSAT-10 practice books are now available in the College and Career Office.

Students who completed Driver Education may now pick up their Driver Education Certificate in the Principal's office.

Attention Seniors: Please read your email from Mr. Noyes about the need to complete an award application to be eligible to receive money from senior awards. Every year there is a ceremony for seniors who have received an award. Awards come from many sources, such as nominations by IHS teachers or an outside organization, in the memory of loved ones, or in honor of an IHS graduating class. The application is in G116 or J15 and is due March 1st - don't wait to get this done!
