B Day

ATTENTION Track & Field athletes: the spring season info meeting will be held in the multipurpose room 3:45 TODAY. If you have any questions see Coaches Parker or Hunter.

Student Council meets today during 2nd period in Activities.

Seniors: please come to Movie Night tonight at 6:30 at Cinemapolis! Admission is free as long as you bring your Senior Lanyard!

Hey IHS, do you sing, dance, tell jokes, or have other talents? The 2019 IHS Cabaret is right around the corner and we're looking for acts to perform! Auditions are today from 3:45 to 4:30 in the Orchestra room. All are welcome to audition--see Mr. Makin in A-143! Tickets are on sale next week in the Cafeteria.

Spring Sports start on Monday, March 4th.  If you are failing two courses, you will not be allowed to try-out.  Please check School Tool to see your in progress grades.  We will continue to have Athletic Study Hall tomorrow afternoon from 4 to 5 PM in York. See Ms. Little or Ms. Valletta if you have questions.

Don't have time for orchestra in your schedule but still want to play your instrument? Come to orchestra room on Thursdays after school to find the new club 'alternative orchestra'! We're starting with Beatles and Panic at the Disco. Bring your string instrument. There will be snacks.

If you are interested in playing on the Unified Sports Basketball team this spring, please sign up outside of G207 or the Athletics Office in Q. We will have open gym time Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45-4:30 in Q gym starting on Tuesday, March 5th.

Would you like to have a say in what shows are produced at IHS? To further student voice, we are forming a committee of students to select the plays and musicals at IHS for next year.  The committee selections will be voted on by the entire student body.  If you’d like to serve on the show selection committee, contact Lorraine Tino or Daphne Shululu or visit the table in the Cafeteria this week.

The IHS Math Department is offering a one-semester new course called 'Math Principles of Robotics' next year. You will learn math, coding and computational thinking skills necessary for 21st century jobs. Talk to your school counselor for more information about this course.

Seniors: Please read your email from Mr. Noyes about the need to complete an award application to be eligible to receive money from senior awards. Every year there is a ceremony for seniors who have received an award. The application is in G116 or J15 and is due March 1st - don't wait to get this done!

The Latino Civic Association of Tompkins County is pleased to announce the Cecilia Montaner-Vargas Award, an opportunity for a Latina/o graduating high school senior in good academic standing who demonstrates community service involvement.  The deadline for submission is May 1.
