Day 1
Social Justice Week is next week, June
2nd – 6th. Ask your teachers if they can take your class
to a guest presentation on Wednesday or Thursday, and get ready to get involved
in community and global issues such as poverty, sexism, and the AIDS epidemic.
Remember: Social Justice Week starts on Monday!
SWIS is hosting an event called Her
Story this Saturday! There will be jazz music, desserts, non-alcoholic drinks,
and performances by students and community members on the theme “a personal
history of feminism.” Her Story is this Saturday, 7 p.m., at St. Paul’s
Methodist Church. All proceeds go to the Advocacy Center. See you there!
Are you feeling stressed out? Looking
for a way to calm down or reduce the amount of stress in your life? Stop by the
HUB today during periods 3-6 for some strategies and support.
The yearbooks are in and going fast.
Whether you pre-ordered and need to pick yours up or you want to buy one, go to
the HUB, D13A, to get your copy. Please pick up your pre-ordered books by today.
Attention: Want to congratulate a
senior on completing high school? What better way to do so than publishing a
senior ad in the Tattler! The Tattler is now accepting senior ads of various
sizes for its June issue. For more information, contact ads@ihstattler.com as soon as possible.
Freshmen! Do you want to commemorate
the challenges that you bravely faced this year? Well, there’s no better way to
do that than getting your own student-designed Class of 2017 t-shirt. Developed
by our fashionista Sandra Stromswold, this trendy shirt can be purchased during
lunch, or by contacting any of your class officers: James Yoon, Mrinal Thomas, Ruth Silcoff or Emma Karnes.
The Bonus Poetry Slam will take place
June 3, after school, in the Black Box! Come one, come all!
