Day 2
Social Justice Week is this week. Ask
your teachers if they can take your class to a guest presentation on Wednesday
or Thursday, and get ready to get involved in community and global issues such
as poverty, sexism, and the AIDS epidemic. Remember: Social Justice Week starts
today!
Freshmen! Do you want to commemorate
the challenges that you bravely faced this year? Well, there’s no better way to
do that than getting your own student-designed Class of 2017 t-shirt. Developed
by our fashionista Sandra Stromswold, this trendy shirt can be purchased during
lunch, or by contacting any of your class officers: James Yoon, Mrinal Thomas, Ruth Silcoff or Emma Karnes.
The Bonus Poetry Slam will take place tomorrow,
after school, in the Black Box! Come one, come all!
Hey Freshmen! Feeling stressed out about end of
the year exams and portfolios? Come to Cookies and Cram on Thursday June 5 from
3:45-6 in the cafeteria and library. Your Link Leaders will be there to help
you out with studying and share some delicious baked goods with you. See you
there!
The last meeting
of the 2014 National Honor Society is after school today. This is a mandatory
meeting. Students who consider themselves current members of NHS must be there.
Are you
interested in running Cross Country this fall? Come to H-111, Mr. Slattery’s
room, after school June 4th to get more information. Hope to see you
there.
