Math Awareness Week is coming! The deadline for t-shirt designs is today. Turn in your design to your math teacher.
 
Do you own a dog? Do you like dogs? Would you like to learn more about dogs? Then come to the informational meeting of Dog Club. All are welcome! Learn about ownership, training, showing and breeding dogs. If any of this interests you, please come to the meeting Tuesday, April 1st in H-111, after school.
 
If you are interested in making the world a better place, consider applying for the Nosanchuk Leadership seminar in Washington, DC. Applications are due on April 2. See your social studies teacher for details.

Hey IHS! Come see Blackfish, a controversial documentary about killer whales in captivity. This event is and will be held in H-Courtyard, hosted by the Aquarium and Zoology Clubs today from 4 to 6 p.m. Popcorn and pizza will be included!
The Junior Prom is this Saturday at the Statler Atrium on Cornell Campus; make sure you're ready!

Please double check the dance contract regarding Ithaca High School dress codes.  If concerned, see dance contract or your AP Also, See your AP to be sure that you are in good standing academically.  This is going to be a fun night!  Door opens at 8, closes at 8:45 - there's no late entry - so be punctual.  Then be ready to dance the night away.  See you there!

 Fractals and Chaos alumni! Come see this semester’s art show outside H-202. As former students in this class, you are eligible to vote for the pieces you like best. See Mr. Drix for a ballot (try H-202, G-102 or the math workroom). Voting ends today at 4:30. PS – Wanna be super macho? Try your hand at the template contest too!

 All students applying for the New Visions Programs next year must have their applications and materials in to their school counselors by today.  This is an absolute deadline.
 
An after school study hall will be open in G-205, Mr. Heiland’s room, for any students who want to stay after school for the site based council meeting tonight. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the library and all are welcome.

Need help managing your time or organizing your school work? Stop by F-16 in the library on Friday during periods 3-6 for a time management and organization activity. Anyone welcome!

IHS Musucal Crew Members: Legally Blonde T Shirts must be ordered by Sunday March 16. You can pick up order forms from Mr. Brookhouse, Ms. Zawel or Ms. Zaryski. If you plan on returning the form to Mr. Brookhouse he will need it Friday by the end of the day.

The National French Contest Exam is being given today, in K Building; snow day will be Wednesday, March 12. Students have been given instructions by their teacher. A list of students taking this exam has been emailed to all staff. No announcements will be made between periods 1-2, 3-5 and 6-7.

Cabaret Night is here! Join us for an evening of music and comedy tonight and Saturday in the cafeteria. Tickets are $5.00 and will be on sale during lunch periods and at the door. See you there!

The Sophomore Class is holding a ping-pong tournament after school today starting at 4:30. Come win prizes, watch Balls of Fury, and enjoy the games! You can sign up in the cafeteria from today during lunch periods.

There will be a National College Fair at Onondaga Community College on Tuesday, March 18. Many college representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on their colleges. Please come to the College & Career Office to sign up. This is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors.

Cabaret Night is coming! Join us for an evening of music and comedy Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8 in the cafeteria. Tickets are $5.00 and will be on sale during lunch periods and at the door. See you there! 

Attention seniors! We want your input on what the last senior week event should be. Stop by H-Courtyard and find the ballot box this week to make your voice heard.

The Sophomore Class is holding a ping-pong tournament after school on Friday starting at 4:30. Come win prizes, watch Balls of Fury, and enjoy the games! You can sign up in the cafeteria from today through Friday during lunch.

There will be a National College Fair at Onondaga Community College on Tuesday, March 18. Many college representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on their colleges. Please come to the College & Career Office to sign up. This is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors.

The National French Contest Exam is being given Tuesday, March 11, in K Building; snow day will be Wednesday, March 12. Students have been given instructions by their teacher. A list of students taking this exam has been emailed to all staff. No announcements will be made between periods 1-2, 3-5 and 6-7.

Have you taken Biology? Are you interested in the natural world, ecotourism, and biological diversity? Want to go to Costa Rica next February break? Stop by H-107 to pick up an application. The application is due Monday, March 10th.  See Ms. Zolnik if you have questions.
 
There will be a fan bus to the boy’s hockey state’s game in Utica on Saturday, March 8 with a 6:45 a.m. departure. To ride on the bus, sign up in the main office today. The cost is $8.00 and will be limited to the first 40 students that sign up.
Attention! Aspiring poets – Red Rhymes meets today in H-111. Be ready to write, rap and listen! Red Rhymes – it’s not your Momma’s poetry.

There will be a college tour of Ithaca College on Friday, March 28. If you are a sophomore or junior interested in going on the tour, please pick up a permission slip in the College and Career Office.
African-Latino Club will meet today in D-5.

Sci-Fi and Fantasy Club meets today in H-Courtyard.
Zoology Club will meet in H-101 today.

Badminton Club meets in the big gym today.
Asian American Club will meet in Room F-41 of the TV studio today.

We need as many clubs, sports teams, and grades to participate and lip sing in this music video as possible! If you are interested please come to the first information meeting today in H-Courtyard afterschool--Come raise school spirit and make history!
