Day 1

 

Ping Pong Club organizational meeting will be today in H-111, after school. Come and join in the fun! We will decide what days to meet and start playing! So if you like ping pong, come to this meeting! Monday in H-111, or see Mr. Slattery anytime!

Do you want to be an Olympian? Do you like science? If you said yes to these questions, come learn about Science Olympiad today in H-114, after school.

On Thursday the 18th, the IHS Model United Nations Club will be holding its first meeting! Model UN is a chance to learn more about world politics, engage in debate on world issues, and polish your speaking skills. At our first meeting, we will discuss Model UN field trips and conferences, procedure, and benefits. There will be snacks. Come to F5 on the 18th to learn more!

Do you believe in gender equality? So do we! Come to the first meeting of SWIS (Strong Women Impacting Society), today after school in F5 across from the library. All genders are welcome! Snacks will be provided. See ya there!

Auditions for the IHS Fall Drama Kurt Vonnegut’s Welcome to the Monkey House, are today from 4:30 to 6:30 and tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. All are welcome to take part in this hilarious, off-the-wall satire. Sign up on the drama bulletin board opposite the BLACK BOX Theatre.

Are you interested in spending a year in another country as an exchange student?  The information session for Rotary Youth Exchange Program will be held on Tuesday, September 16 at 3:45 in G205.

Seniors -- fall applications for the National Honor Society are now available in the main office for those who didn't apply to NHS in the spring. They are due Sept 19th, so pick yours up today. 

Red Cross Club will hold its 1st meeting Tuesday, September 16th after school in room G-212. New members are welcome!

 

Hey pedal pushers, bike on down to the library on Tuesday the 16th at 3:45 if you are interested in cycling club! We will be holding an organizational meeting at this time and then meetings and/or group rides on following Tuesdays - we hope to see you there!

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to build a robot?  Have you heard about Code Red Robotics, but want to know more?  Come to the New Member meeting on September 16 from 3:45-4:30 in E1 to check out last year’s robot and learn more about our school’s robotics team.  All are welcome, and no experience is necessary- we hope to see you there!

If you are interested in being part of producing, acting or running the equipment for Ithaca high school’s first late night tv show, come to our meeting on Tuesday, after school in room F-41 the TV studio.

International Club will begin this Tuesday, September 16th, after school in K-119. American students, all students, join us for food, music and sharing of our worlds.

 

Juniors! The PSAT exam will be given on Wednesday, October 15. All juniors are expected to take the PSAT exam, which is the practice exam for the SAT. Please sign up in the College and Career office and pick up a study guide.
