Day 6

February is Mental Health Month at IHS, presented by the Site Based Council and Suicide Prevention Center. Check out our display in the library where you can take the mental health survey of the week or anonymously ask your own questions. We’ll report the results next week.

The 2015 Winter Formal will be on Saturday, February 28th, from 8-11 pm at the Lakewatch Inn. Get your Early Bird Special ticket for only $15 from today through February 24, during any lunch period in the cafeteria. Remember to bring money and your dance contract, signed by you and your parent or guardian. Also, all overdue library books must be returned before purchasing your ticket.

Bring in your old, gently-used dresses for Green Team’s Dress Exchange! There are boxes in the cafeteria, library, main office, and H-Courtyard where you can drop off a dress. Then, if you need a dress for Winter Formal, come to the Dress Exchange this Friday, the 13th, in Activities during all lunch periods, to pick one out for free!

You go, Glen Coco! Wish your friends, enemies, frenemies, or significant others a Happy Valentine’s Day with conversation hearts and a personalized message, this week in the cafeteria for $1.

You cold IHS? Come to the cafeteria after school today and buy a cup of hot cocoa for $.50. Support our local National Honor Society and the good work we do!

On Valentine’s Day, if you have a love, support the SPCA. Key Club is selling carnations in the cafeteria this week to support the SPCA and the Rescue Mission. Carnations are $1 you deliver, $2 we deliver.

This Friday, in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, everyone should wear as much pink and red as they can. During your lunch period you can go to the table run by Student Council to be judged for a spirit contest. First place gets half a dozen donuts, 2nd place gets 4 donuts and 3rd place gets 2 donuts.
