Day 4
Today’s
mental health message is “What is anxiety?” It is normal to experience some
stress in your life. Anxiety is a reaction to stress and can be beneficial in
some situations. But, consistent, high levels of fear or stress for several
days in a row can lead to anxiety disorders such as post-traumatic stress,
obsessive-compulsive behaviors, and panic attacks. Learn more at the “What
Mental Health Looks Like” display in the library!
Conversations with a Scientist continues this Thursday at a
new, earlier start time of 4:30pm. Join us to hear Jonathan Butcher, biomedical

blood flow lead to heart defects? How can blood be re-oriented before
birth to avoid heart defects? Learn about this fascinating work which
crosses the boundaries of biology, physics and engineering this Thursday,
4:30-5:30 pm in H courtyard. Everyone is welcome.
