Day 1

The compost is contaminated, but you can help to stop that! Come to the first IHS Green Team meeting on Monday, September 21 in H-104 after school and help us plan a great year of environmental action!

Seniors, if you missed the spring deadline for applying to National Honor Society, you can still join. You need to get an NHS form from Ms. Sullivan in the Main Office and turn it in by Friday, September 25.

Players, Players, Players. The first meeting of the Players will be Monday, September 21st immediately after school in the Band room.

Seniors! There will be a College Essay Writing Workshop on Wednesday, September 23 during lunch periods. An admissions counselor from Cornell will give you tips on writing the best college essay. Sign up in the main office with Ms. Sullivan. Space is limited.

Join Code Red Robotics to learn new skills like machining, strategy and graphic design, work with local businesses, and make new friends for life. No experience in any field required! The new member meeting is after school Tuesday the 22nd in E-1.

All juniors please stop by the Main Office/Student Services to sign up for the PSAT and get your practice booklet. This exam is for juniors only and there is no charge to take the exam.

Juniors and seniors interested in attending the TC-3 College Fair on Tuesday, October 20th, please pick up your permission slips in the Main Office/Student Services. The deadline for returning your permission slips is October 2.

There will be one additional Picture Day next Thursday, September 24. Photos will be taken in Activities, and any student who did not have a picture taken this week should make time to go and get one taken at that time. If you do not have a lunch or a free period, please see your AP for a pass to get your photo taken!

Do you want to get involved in the Ithaca community? Do you like to volunteer or do service projects? Do you like food? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should join community service/Key Club. Our first meeting is this Tuesday the 22nd. See you there!

Are you interested in skiing or snowboarding this year? Or maybe you want a free Greek Peak backpack? If so, IHS Ski Club is now offering discounted Greek Peak ski and board packages for lift tickets, season passes, and rentals for the 2015-2016 season. See Mr. Noyes in G-116 with any questions.
