Day 3
Seniors, if you
missed the spring deadline for applying to National Honor Society, you can
still join. You need to get an NHS form from Ms. Sullivan in the Main Office
and turn it in by Friday.
Seniors! There will
be a College Essay Writing Workshop on Wednesday during lunch periods. An
admissions counselor from Cornell will give you tips on writing the best
college essay. Sign up in the main office with Ms. Sullivan. Space is limited.
Join Code Red
Robotics to learn new skills like machining, strategy and graphic design, work
with local businesses, and make new friends for life. No experience in any field
required! The new member meeting is after school today in E-1.
All juniors please
stop by the Main Office/Student Services to sign up for the PSAT and get your
practice booklet. This exam is for juniors only and there is no charge to take
the exam.
Juniors and seniors
interested in attending the TC-3 College Fair on Tuesday, October 20th,
please pick up your permission slips in the Main Office/Student Services. The
deadline for returning your permission slips is October 2.
There will be one additional Picture Day this Thursday,
September 24 in Activities, and any student who has not had their picture taken
yet should make time to go and get one taken. If you do not have a free period,
please see your AP for a pass to get your photo taken!
Do you want to get involved in the Ithaca community? Do you
like to volunteer or do service projects? Do you like food? If you answered yes
to any of these questions, then you should join community service/Key Club. Our
first meeting is today.
The IHS Ski Club is now offering discounted Greek Peak ski
and board packages for lift tickets, season passes, and rentals for the
2015-2016 season. See Mr. Noyes in G-116 with any questions.
Do you want to learn how to set
goals so you can succeed in high school and beyond? Attend Path of
Success on Saturday, Sept 26, 10am to 4pm in York Auditorium.
This interactive seminar is guaranteed to motivate, inform, affirm and inspire!

Chemistry Club meets today, after
school in Mr. Slattery’s room H-111. We will discuss the year’s events and plan
activities. Demonstrations await you!
International Club will hold its first meeting today after
school in K-119. Come share food, music and culture. All are welcome.
10th
graders! The new PSAT 10 will be given to 10th graders in February.
If you want to take the PSAT 10, please sign-up and pay the $15 fee in the Main
Office with Mrs. Sullivan. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday.

The
Sexuality and Gender Alliance (previously known as Gay-Straight Alliance) meets
