Day 1
Wondering how you can participate in Social
Justice? Register to vote! To fill out a registration form, come to
H-Courtyard any time this week. Just make sure you will be 18 by the
election date and know your driver's license number or social security
number. You will be registered in time to vote in May's school board
election. If you have questions check with Mr. Lesser in H109.
Hey IHS, Student Council will be having a
fundraiser outside of Bliss gym entrance today after school. We will be selling
donuts for $1 each. Make sure you stop by for a delicious snack!
Did you know homeless shelters say their #1 most
requested products are pads and tampons? This year, Social Justice Week is
sponsoring a drive to collect pads and tampons for women in need. Donate in the
main office or ask your teachers if they are participating, because the class
that donates the most wins a prize!
Social Justice Week is today through Friday, 1st through 8th
period on topics such as the environment, LGTBQ issues, and human rights. This
is a student-run event, and the planning committee encourages their peers to
attend presentations during their free periods. Be on the lookout for schedules
in the halls and your classrooms.
