Hey IHS! Do you want to give back to the community, eat free food and have fun at the same time? Join Key Club, the community service club at IHS. We meet every other Tuesday in H-206, Ms. Gefell’s room. Our first meeting will be next Tuesday, September 19. Hope to see you there!
Attention Juniors: Please stop by the main office to see Ms. Sullivan to sign up for the PSAT that will be given on Wednesday, October 11. There will be no charge to take the exam and you will receive a practice booklet and an informational sheet when you register. This exam is for Juniors only!
Juniors and Seniors interested in attending the TC3 College Fair on Tuesday, October 17 should pick up permission slips in the Main Office or Student Services. The deadline for returning your permission slips is October 2. The College Fair will also have an evening session from 6-8 p.m. for students wishing to attend with their parents. IHS will not provide transportation for the evening session.
Auditions for the fall drama production:  "Fools", a comic fable by Neil Simon, will be Monday, September 18 from 6 to 9 and Tuesday, September 19 from 4 to 7 pm.  Attend one day only.  Please sign up on the drama bulletin board near the Black Box Theatre.  All are welcome!  See Ms. Tino for more info.
 
Science Olympiad is a state and nationwide competition that includes many events that cover a wide variety of scientific topics from cell biology to building helicopters. Science Olympiad is having its first meeting on Monday, September 18 in E31 and will meet on all Mondays. New members are welcome!
 
If you care about the environment, come to Green Team Mondays, after school, in Mr. Johnson’s room H-104. There will be food!
 
Mock Trial is having its 1st meeting on Tuesday, September 19  in G-110. Come and learn more about the club! There will be food!
 
We're starting a Latin club, and will be meeting Mondays after school in K 17.  Anyone interested in Greek and Roman mythology, weird facts about the Romans, and any other aspects of Greco-Roman culture is welcome.  Actually speaking in Latin is not required.  There are likely to be some refreshments.
 
Whether you're interested in graphic design, programming, writing, electronics or anything else, there's a place for you on Code Red Robotics! Come to our non-commitment new member meeting next Tuesday, September 19th, in E1. No experience needed! See you then! 
 
SENIORS:  Need a little help or some pointers for writing your college essay? Ray Kim & Tammy Shapiro, Cornell Admissions Officers, will be here on Thursday, September 28th to present a college essay writing workshop.   The sessions will be held during lunch periods. See Ms. Sullivan in the College & Career Office to register.  Please register as soon as possible as the time slots fill up fast.
