A Day
A leading East Asia Studies professor at Cornell will be
delivering an exclusive presentation to Japanese Language & Culture Club
today after school. Everybody is encouraged to come and hear this nationally-recognized
guest speaker talk — just come to H201 after school today. Don't miss it!
Attention students taking AP Exams in May: AP Bulletins to
help you prepare for the exams are online, but a limited number of hard copies
are now available to be picked up in the College and Career Office.
What's up IHS? Do you have old shoes that you no longer wear?
Donate them to the junior class. You can place them in boxes in classrooms
around the school. All shoes will go to those in need. Thank you in advance for
helping us!
The North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad (NACLO)
is coming up soon. Any secondary-school student who is interested in
language and likes puzzles is encouraged to participate. This year's
competition will be held on Thursday, January 23, at Cornell (9:45 AM to 1
PM). Come to an information session here
at IHS on this coming Tuesday, January 14 after school. Come to K 20 at
3:45 to hear from Cornell Linguistics professors about the contest.
