A Day
A leading East Asia Studies professor at Cornell will be
delivering an exclusive presentation to Japanese Language & Culture Club
tomorrow. Everybody is recommended to come and hear this nationally-recognized
guest speaker talk — just come to H201 after school tomorrow. Don't miss it!
Attention all ninth graders! Link Crew invites you to Cocoa
and Cram tomorrow after school in the library to study and hang out with your
friends and teachers. There will be free hot cocoa and snacks!
Come to the orientation for the spring production, High
School Musical, tomorrow in Kulp at 4pm to learn about the show, receive an
info packet, and meet the whole creative team. The meeting will be done in time
to catch the late bus. If you are concerned about getting a ride during
rehearsals this spring, please still come, as we’ll be discussing
transportation options as well. Don't miss it!
Attention students taking AP Exams in May: AP Bulletins to
help you prepare for the exams are online, but a limited number of hard copies
are now available to be picked up in the College and Career Office.
The North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad (NACLO)
is coming up soon. Any secondary-school student who is interested in
language and likes puzzles is encouraged to participate. This year's
competition will be held on Thursday, January 23, at Cornell (9:45 AM to 1
PM). Come to an information session here
at IHS on this coming Tuesday, January 14 after school. Come to K 20 at
3:45 to hear from Cornell Linguistics professors about the contest.
