Day 5
The National French Contest Exam is being given today, in K Building; snow day will be Wednesday, March 12. Students have been given instructions by their teacher. A list of students taking this exam has been emailed to all staff. No announcements will be made between periods 1-2, 3-5 and 6-7.

There will be a college tour of Ithaca College on Friday, March 28. If you are a sophomore or junior interested in going on the tour, please pick up a permission slip in the College and Career Office.

Attention seniors! Interested in going on the Senior Trip on May 30 and 31 to Lake Placid? There will be a mandatory parent meeting on Monday, March 17th in the cafeteria. Your parent or guardian must attend if you plan to go on the trip. This is the first overnight senior trip in almost a decade, so make sure you don't miss out! If your parent or guardian can't make the meeting, you or they need to contact Mr. Mellander in Activities before March 17.
Not for the faint of heart. Are you ready? The annual handball tournament is on Saturday March 15th at 2 pm in the gym. Make a team of 6-8 players and sign up on March 11th and 12th in Mr. Mellander’s office (in Activities) or March 13th and 14th in the Cafeteria. $5 in advance, $7 at the door. Every team needs a member of each gender on the court at all times. Check the Facebook event or large posters around the school for more details.

The final make-up day for the AP Literature and Language qualifying exam will be Wednesday, March 12 after school in room F-5. Juniors planning on taking either of these classes must take this exam. See Mr. Byrne with any questions.
The Math Team meets today in H-211 with Mr. Deppe.

Muscular dystrophy is a disease that affects millions of Americans. This month, NHS will be holding a fund-raiser to benefit patients with muscular dystrophy every Wednesday and Friday of March in the cafeteria during lunch periods. Donate a dollar, write your name on a shamrock, and receive a free baked good or piece of candy as a thank-you! All proceeds go straight to charity.
