Day 3

 

 

The annual 3 on 3 basketball tournament will be this Saturday from 1-5 p.m., so get your team together, choose a name and signup during periods 3-6 in the cafeteria.  Each team will play three games and the winningest teams will move on to the elimination round.  The winning team walks away with a prize of $75.  The cost is $5 per team member. 

Attention girls who may be attending the Junior or Senior Proms: On Saturday, April 18th from noon to 4 p.m., there will be free prom dresses at the State Farm Insurance office, 222 #2 Elmira Road.

Seniors, remember the Cayuga Medical Center scholarship application is due this Friday.

Hey Students and Staff!  The first annual IHS Dodge Ball Tournament will be taking place in Bliss Gym on Saturday, April 25th, at 1pm.  Four-player teams will compete in round-robin match-ups followed by the finals.  There will be prizes for the winning team and the team with the best costumes.  The entry fee is twenty dollars per team and sign-ups will be in the cafeteria all next week during lunch periods.  So come be a part of the fun!

The weather is finally warming up and the School Store is stocked up and ready with some great prices.  Short-sleeve t-shirts in a variety of colors and styles are available and cost only five dollars each.  Hoodies and long-sleeve t-shirts are also on sale.  The School Store is open from 11:30 to 12:30 in the cafeteria.

Come to the last "Conversations with a Scientist" talk for this year to talk about big questions of particle physics like learning about the origin of mass and matter in the Universe.  What is the Large Hadron Collider?  What is matter-anti-matter asymmetry?  Dark matter?   Dark energy?  Come to H courtyard at 4:30 pm this Thursday, April 16 for an exciting talk.

Do you like donuts? If you do, come buy one after school on Thursday for only a dollar. Support NHS and help us raise money to buy books for kids!
