Juniors! Do you want to learn about how to get into college? Come to “Getting Into College Night” tonight at 6 p.m. in York Lecture Hall. Presenters will include admissions counselors from Cornell, Ithaca College and SUNY Binghamton.

The Ithaca High School Brain Team, IHS’s nationally-ranked Academic Quizbowl team, is holding their annual spring trivia night fundraiser from 6:00 to 8:30 on Thursday, April 23rd in the IHS cafeteria.  Bring a team of up to 5 people, or come by yourself and meet some new friendly folks.  Tickets are $10 and include dinner, music, and fun trivia.  Funds that are raised will help the Brain Team go to national tournaments in Chicago and Washington, DC.  Email Benjamin Kirk at bkirk@icsd.k12.ny.us for details, or just show up on the 18th.

Attention Latino and African American students – remember the Alpha Kappa Alpha Award application is due April 30^th.

Seniors: Jostens will be in H-Courtyard Friday to deliver caps and gowns.

Hey Students! You can sign up for this Saturday’s Dodge Ball Tournament all this week in the cafeteria during lunch periods.  The entry fee is $20 per four player team and payment for at least one team member must be made when you enter.  A waiver form to be signed by a parent or guardian will also be issued and can be returned to the sign-up table or at the tournament this Saturday in Bliss Gym at 1pm.

Students who are interested in running for leadership positions (including Student Council officer, Class Officer, and Student Representative to the Board of Education) should attend the mandatory Elections Meeting on Wednesday, April 29 at 3:45 in H-Courtyard. This meeting is mandatory for any student who wants his or her name on the elections ballot. If a student is absolutely unable to attend, he or she must see Mr. Mellander on or before April 28.
