Day 1
Nothing can make a Valentine's Day more romantic than a heart-felt
note. Surprise your love with an endearing note delivered for $5. If you'd like
to sweeten your note, you can send a classy box of chocolates along with it, at
no extra cost! Junior Prom Committee members will be taking orders in the
cafeteria, during lunch periods from today to next Tuesday.
Link Crew will be hosting a Blood Drive on Thursday, February 11th all day in Activities.
Make their day, let them know they’re the bae, buy a carnation
today. Sales will be during lunch periods from today to February 11. Carnations
will be $1.00 for pick-up on the 11th, and $2.00 for delivery.
February is Black History
Month and in the IHS library there are books about Black history, bulletin boards
full of pictures and even book reviews. Students and staff are invited to write
a book review about Black history or something that encourages diversity,
understanding, and peace in America. All reviews are
subject to approval for appropriateness and should be left with any library
staffer.
Attention Seniors: The 2016 IHS Senior Awards
application and Cayuga Medical Scholarship application are now in the College
and Career Center and online at the IHS website. Please check the website
regularly as we will be adding more awards and descriptions over time. If
you have any questions, see Mr. Noyes in G116. The Senior Award
Application deadline is March 25th.
Sophomores who registered to take the PSAT 10 in
February, your PSAT guides and instruction sheets are now available to be
picked up. Please see Ms. Sullivan in the main office.
Juniors who took the PSAT in October, you can
pick up your scores in the main office with Ms. Sullivan.
Varsity track and field workouts have started at
Barton Hall from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
March is just around the corner and spring sports
forms are now available outside the Medical Office.
Still room in your spring schedule? There’s still
room in current art classes. Explore fashion, crafts, digital photo, or drawing
and painting. Make your mark, take art!!
Hey club members! Student council is taking
requests for extra funding for your clubs. Receiving funds is as easy as taking
a trip right to the main office! So make that trip, fill out one of our forms,
and make sure to bring it to Mr. Mellander in Activities.
Magic Club meets after school today in H-107.
African-Latino Club meets today in G-209.
