Do you sing, dance, or have another talent to share with the IHS community? Audition for Cabaret Night! Auditions will be held after school today. Sign up for an audition time in the main office. See Ms. Hecht in the orchestra room for more information!

 

Link Crew will be hosting a Blood Drive on Thursday, February 11th all day in Activities.

 

There is a new climbing club at IHS! The first meeting will be today at 3:45 in G-208.  All are invited, regardless of experience!

 

February is Black History Month and in the IHS library there are books about Black history, bulletin boards full of pictures and even book reviews. Students and staff are invited to write a book review about Black history or something that encourages diversity, understanding, and peace in America. All reviews are subject to approval for appropriateness and should be left with any library staffer.  

 

Attention Seniors: ­The 2016 IHS Senior Awards application and Cayuga Medical Scholarship application are now in the College and Career Center and online at the IHS website.  Please check the website regularly as we will be adding more awards and descriptions over time.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Noyes in G116.  The Senior Award Application deadline is March 25th. 

 

Sophomores who registered to take the PSAT 10 in February, your PSAT guides and instruction sheets are now available to be picked up. Please see Ms. Sullivan in the main office.

 

Come to Code Red Open House this Saturday in the Tech Wings, between 12 and 4 p.m. Team members will be giving tours of Code Red Build, there will be design games for kids, and chemistry demonstrations by Cornell professors. Bring your family, younger siblings, and friends this Saturday, between 12 and 4.

 

Cass Park will have a special rate skate for H.S students who bring a valid ID, this Friday from 7 – 10 p.m.

 

 Juniors who took the PSAT in October, you can pick up your scores in the main office with Ms. Sullivan.

 

Make your special someone smile, go the extra mile, buy a carnation in the cafeteria February 5th through 11th in the cafeteria during all lunch periods. Carnations cost $2 for delivery and $1 for pick up on February 11th.

 

Varsity track and field workouts have started at Barton Hall from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

 

March is just around the corner and spring sports forms are now available outside the Medical Office.

 

Canada Club meets after school today in G-108B, Music Production Club meets in Ms. Benenati’s room E-45 after school, TSA meets in E-4 today, Improv Club meets after school in G-103, and Eastern and Fun Club meets in K-102 today.
