Day 1
Do you love volleyball? International
Club is hosting a volleyball tournament a week from Saturday,
April 28th from 1 - 4. The cost will be $25 per team and
prizes will be awarded. Sign up in the cafeteria during lunch
periods. Sign up a whole team or let us know if you'd like us to find you
one - 4 to 6 players per team.
Order your yearbook on-line at www.yearbookordercenter.com and enter
Ithaca High School’s code 8812. Less than 100 books left!
There
will be a Junior Prom committee meeting today in Activities after school. If you
want to have a say in the food options at Junior Prom, come to the meeting!
Today is Denim Day. This event started in the 90s when the
Italian Supreme Court dropped a sexual assault case because the victim was
wearing tight jeans. Show your support for victims of sexual assault and wear
denim on Wednesday!
Students, an email has been sent to you about
facilitated lunch conversations on Race & Racism which will take place
during lunch periods in room F36 on April 26th, May 1st and May 3rd. The email also included a link to a
survey to express interest and provide you with more information about a series
of after school workshops that will be offered in May. Email or see Ms. Sessoms in G211 if you
have any questions.
The
Latino Civic Association of Tompkins County is pleased to announce
the CECILIA MONTANER-VARGAS AWARD, an opportunity for a Latina/o graduating
high school senior to be awarded a scholarship totaling $800. The
deadline for submission is May 1. Please see Mrs. Powers for an award
application.
The Finger Lakes Runners Club scholarship is now available and
offers two $1,000 scholarships to be awarded to two high school seniors who
participated in their school’s cross-country and/or track &field teams. See
Mr. Noyes for more information. The deadline is April 27.
The IHS Dev Team meets after school today in Room H-211 with
Mr. Deppe.
Smash Brothers Club meets in H-109 after school today.
Chem Club meets today after school in H-111.
Sign Language Club meets after school in G-106.
