A Day
NACLO,
the North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad, is coming up soon.
Any secondary-school student who is interested in languages and likes
puzzles is encouraged to participate. This year's competition will be
held Thursday, January 24, from 9:45 to 1 PM at Cornell. There are info sessions at Cornell on Jan.
12th (11 AM) and here at IHS on Tuesday, Jan. 15th at 3:45 in room K 17.
Join us after school to meet with two linguistics professors from
Cornell who will go through some
practice language puzzles and explain more about the competition.
IHS Boxing Club is underway!
If you’re interested in signing up, meetings are on Mondays after school in the
Cafeteria starting this coming Monday.
Are you thinking of taking a
gap year? Come hear from IHS alumni who have taken a gap year and learn about
the unique experiences they had. This will be held on Tuesday, January 15 from
7:00-7:45 pm in the Activities Room. Students interested in taking a gap year
and their parents are encouraged to attend.
