A Day
NACLO,
the North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad, is coming up soon.
Any secondary-school student who is interested in languages and likes
puzzles is encouraged to participate. This year's competition will be
held Thursday, January 24, from 9:45 to 1 PM at Cornell. There is an info session TODAY at 3:45 in
room K 17. Join us after school to meet with two linguistics professors
from Cornell who will go through some practice language puzzles and explain
more about the competition.
Are you thinking of taking a
gap year? Come hear from IHS alumni who have taken a gap year and learn about
the unique experiences they had. This will be held TONIGHT from 7:00 to 7:45 pm
in the Activities Room. Students interested in taking a gap year and their
parents are encouraged to attend.
Hey 9th
Graders: come to study and eat with Link Crew this Thursday after school in the
Library. The Library will be open after school on Thursday for 9th graders
ONLY.
