Good morning, IHS!
Today is Thursday, November 7
and it’s a B Day

James Harrison was a man in Australia who was able to save over 2 million babies by donating his rare blood! This could be you if you participate in Key Club’s blood drive on November 13th with the Red Cross. You can sign up to donate in the Cafeteria during all lunch periods today, tomorrow, and next Tuesday. You must be 16 with a signed parent consent form from the office, or 17 and up. All donors must be at least 110 lbs. It will only take 15 minutes to save a life!

Tickets are now on sale for the Fall Drama Production: The Jury, our version of Twelve Angry Men, a dynamic story of bias and bravery.  Shows are tomorrow and Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday at 2pm.  Get your tickets in the IHS cafeteria during lunch periods this week or at the door.

The first meeting for the Social Justice Week planning committee will be today after school in the H-Courtyard conference room. If you are interested in planning Social Justice Week for 2020 please join us! Everyone is welcome, and we would love to have you!

This afternoon, the finance club will be hosting Roger Simpson, recently retired former chief engineer at Borg Warner. He will be covering the basics of investment, specifically goal-oriented investing such as investing in companies working to fight climate change. It will be a great opportunity for students looking to learn how to become financially secure. The presentation will be held in G208, from 3:30 to 4:30. Anyone is welcome!

Are you interested in explosions, chemical experiments, or learning about reactions? Join Chemistry Club this afternoon in H113, Mr. Turner’s room.
