Attention all Seniors, Senior portraits are due November 1st. Please
make sure to get them in if you do not want your life touch photo
used. Yearbook club will not be accepting late portraits. Go visit
IHS annual on Facebook or Twitter for more information on how
to upload your photo. Only 2 days left!
Flappers and Dappers Masquerade Ball will be held on Saturday, November
1st from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Ithaca YMCA. Hosted by Tompkins
County Gender Equity Groups. All high school aged students are welcome to
attend. Suggested donation of $7. Check the SWIS Facebook page for more
details.
Freshmen: Would you like to run for class office? You can run for
president, vice-president, secretary or treasurer. If interested, there will be
a meeting today, after school, in H-Courtyard. This is a mandatory meeting if
you’d like to run. Please see Mr. Mellander
in B-3 or H-122 with questions.
Tryouts for the JV and Varsity girls’ basketball team will begin
Monday, November 3rd from 4-6 in the new gym. Please make sure you
have turned in all necessary paperwork to the medical office in order to
tryout. Please see Coach Valletta in room K-103 or G-205 if you have any
questions.
What do fish, physics, acoustics, oceanography, and conservation have
to do with each other? Stop by to learn a little science from one of the
worlds’ expert’s on the oceans. Join us for Conversations with a Scientist tonight
in H-Courtyard from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Be part of something great! Come to African Latino Club today at 3:45
in D-5.
Do you like to play improv games and have fun? Come to Improv Club
after school today in H-217. There will be food.
Did you enjoy Legally Blonde last
year? Do you want to get in on the action? Auditions for this year's musical
Catch Me If You Can are coming up soon. Based on the 2002 movie starring Tom
Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio, with exciting music by the composer who wrote
Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can is a biographical
crime
drama
based on the life of Frank Abagnale,
who, before his 19th birthday, successfully performed cons worth millions of
dollars by posing as a Pan
American pilot, a Georgia doctor, and a
Louisiana prosecutor. If you are interested in auditioning, bring a parent or
guardian to one of two informational meetings on either Wednesday November 12th
or Thursday November 13th from 7:00-8:30 in the chorus room in “A” building.

Friday is Halloween! Please remember that the IHS dress code still
applies. No masks may be worn and the face must be visible. The complete dress
