Moe’s, Moe’s, Moe’s! the Tattler and AVID 12 will be hosting a joint fund-raiser at Moe’s Southwest Grill starting at 5 p.m. today. Pick up a flyer hanging around school and come support your favorite high-school newspaper!

Hey IHS, Do you like snacks, sushi, and having fun?  Are you interested in Asian culture?  Come check out Asian American Club, Thursdays in H113.  Everyone is welcome!

 Ithaca High School’s nationally-ranked QuizBowl team – the Brain Team – is looking for new members.  If you have a love for literature, a spirit for science, or a heat for history, we want you.  If you have a fervor for philosophy, a mania for music, or an ardor for art, we want you.  A passion for pop music?  A vim for video games?  We want you too.  If you’re interested in joining this quirky quest for quality quizzers, come to room G102 after school on Thursday, October 9th to check out what we do!  We hope to have you join us!

 

Attention all girls interesting in playing JV or Varsity basketball, we have pre-season practices on Mondays from 6:30-8:30 in the new gym and workouts in the strength and conditioning room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-6.  Please see Coach Valletta in room K-103 or G-205 if you have any questions.

 

A college rep from Keuka College will visit IHS at 9:45 a.m. tomorrow. If you’d like to meet with this rep, please go to the College and Career office for a pass.

 

Fashion Club will be selling pizza in D hallway after-school on Thursday October 9th and Friday October 10th. $1.00 a slice.

 

All students taking the SAT this Saturday, October 11th, please remember to bring your photo ID as well as your admission ticket. Students will not be admitted without them.

 

Please remember that athletic events are school functions in which school rules apply.  All students will display good sportsmanship and appropriate behavior while attending ICSD sporting events.  Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited.  Poor behavior of any kind will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave the event.  During evening varsity games there is a NO Reentry policy, once you leave you may not return.

 

Next week is Homecoming Week. Themes will be: Tuesday, Oct. 14, Flannel Day; Wednesday, Oct. 15: Collegiate Day; Thursday, Oct. 16: Twin Day; Friday, Oct. 17: Red and Gold Day. Friday is also the pep rally and Homecoming football game. At the pep rally, we'll be honoring our student groups (clubs, athletes, etc.) and coming together as a community to celebrate.
