Attention all Seniors, Senior portraits are due November 1st. Please
make sure to get them in if you do not want your life touch photo
used. Yearbook club will not be accepting late portraits. Go visit
IHS annual on Facebook or Twitter for more information on how
to upload your photo. Only 3 days left!
Flappers and Dappers Masquerade Ball will be held on Saturday, November
1st from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Ithaca YMCA. Hosted by Tompkins
County Gender Equity Groups. All high school aged students are welcome to
attend. Suggested donation of $7. Check the SWIS Facebook page for more
details.
Freshmen: Would you like to run for class office? You can run for
president, vice-president, secretary or treasurer. If interested, there will be
a meeting this Thursday, after school, in H-Courtyard. This is a mandatory
meeting if you’d like to run. Please see Mr. Mellander in B-3 or H-122 with questions.
Tryouts for the JV and Varsity girls’ basketball team will begin
Monday, November 3rd from 4-6 in the new gym. Please make sure you
have turned in all necessary paperwork to the medical office in order to
tryout. Please see Coach Valletta in room K-103 or G-205 if you have any
questions.
Hey sophomores! Stop by H-Courtyard after school today and vote on a
movie for our upcoming movie night.
Another fact from the Rainbow Brigade! Asexuality is not another word
for celibate. Celibacy is the decision to not have sex, but still having that
attraction. Think of it this way. If sexual intimacy is a cake, then celibates
are choosing not to eat it. But asexuals are like “Meh, I’ll get some ice cream
instead.”
A college rep from St. John Fisher will be visiting IHS today at 11:20
a.m. If you’d like to meet with this rep, please go to the College and Career
Office for a pass.
